Doh. Joe Friday knew that from first reports of this story.
Very sad, but the media mishmash about this terrible tragedy was ridiculous in not jumping to the objective conclusion that this was obviously the same car. My prayers are out for the family and their relatives and friends.
ANOTHER family van plunges off a cliff? What’s going on?
In California, from Oregon as well.............must be something in the water.................

I think I detect a pattern.
Driving too fast for conditions would be my guess. Just because you have an SUV with all wheel drive doesn’t mean you can drive like an idiot.
It’s like they’re all members of the same family from India.
I’ve seen that pattern before.
My brother-in-law’s family, all his siblings, boy or girl, have the same initials...................
Good thing that one guy saw them go over, or this could have been a mystery until summer when the river goes down.
Hwy 101 in Humboldt and Mendocino counties is probably my favorite road, but it is curvy.
SUV’s hate protected minorities.
There is no reason to bring up bigotry about legal immigration in this case. This was apparently a well to do family living a good working life in the US.
My sister Anita And Angie my folks never got out of the a names in the baby name book and i married an Annie
My wife has no given middle name.
She uses her maiden name as her middle name..................
Damn. Poor people, not a good way to go. Sad indeed.
Dot, not feather.
Well, that shoots down all the conspiracy that they were abducted by a UFO or bigfoot.
The road wasn't closed, so I wonder what caused them to go off the road? Poor visibility? Slippery surface? Distracting/noisy kids?
That was my guess.
Perhaps the nine year old goes all "are we there yet," and the father picks the wrong time to be like "don't make me come back there..." on a windy cliff road.

I dont travel in the rain anymore. Its not my driving, its all the idiots on the road. We were driving back to Cali from Arkansas and had made it to some small town in New Mexico when a heavy storm hit. I couldnt believe how fast everyone was driving and got off the road and checked into a motel. Same thing in Cali. I drive back and forth to Ventura all the time. Last time I drove in a rainstorm I saw 5-6 cars passing me at a high rate of speed and then spun out and on the side of the road miles ahead. I just stay off the roads when its raining now.
