Quite simply, during negotiation, you can never show your hand and you never let the opposing party know what you are thinking.
And for today, considering a return to the TPP is good for America.
If the advisers have been stealing the toilet paper, they need to return it.
That is hardly the same thing as “returning” to the Trans Pacific Partnership. I do not think this justifies going straight to ‘Def-Con 5’ on the Trump presidency.
I got no problem with TPP if it means tariffs on China. As I see it, TPP is the logical alternative to China. I am not saying TPP is perfect or even good. But I think it has to be better than China trade. And if China changes. Then we can go out of TPP and negotiate different treaties with TTP countries individually. As it stands now, both Canada and Mexico are TPP countries. Maybe TPP is better than NAFTA as well.
How is this better than Obama you may ask? Well if you shoot down the worst trade agreement, then renegotiate the next worst one until they are all better, I think you are moving in the right direction. Obama kept creating stupid agreements. He really only cared about climate change and not about the American worker.

I agree that is indeed a stupid statement. President Trump has always said he will not enter into any trade agreement where we get shafted like in the past. He wants a fair trade deal for this country. That is why he is renegotiating NAFTA as an example.
