This has been the Progressive model for 100 years. The Constitution is old, and therefore we can find ways to ignore it.
That violates their oath of office. But oaths mean nothing to them. They do not believe in God, either.

I interpret the Constitution as saying that this guy has to give me all his money. Oh, I’ll take a look at his daughters, too.

I dunno, man. Pretty sure getting hit by a 4 pounder cannonball would ruin the rest of my day.

The reason why our Founders had everyone take oaths involving the Constitution was to get everyone on board with protecting it.
So it is not just the president protecting the Constitution but all of us.
This guy is a result of the problem our Founders worked so hard to avoid.

Is it possible to re-interpret the head trauma created by a 56 grain .308 at 700 yards?

Every representative who isn’t demanding that Mueller’s investigation ends today and all of his targets get immediate freedom from his harassment is acknowledging that the Constitution means nothing. A quote is nice, but silence can mean just as much.

Foster is a POS and the corrupt Illinois Supreme Court allowed the democrat state house majority, led by Madigan, to draw a district just for him after he lost (twice) to Randy Hultgren. Remember, gerrymandering is okay when democrats do it.

What does reinterpretation mean? It means you take the same words in the Constitution, and apply a different meaning to them. If you can do that, the Constitution only means what you want it to mean, when you want it to mean it. In which case, the Constitution means nothing. However, we all know that the Constitution does not mean nothing. It therefore follows, that this leftist approach to interpreting the Constitution is logically flawed.

Representative Bill Foster has a PhD in Physics from Harvard.
So, hes an asshole. So what? Lotta that going around.
To: marktwain
Oh dear God. When I saw "Illinois Rep." in the headline I thought it meant he was a
state representative. But this brainless jackass is in the
U.S. congress. That is bad; that is very bad.
It's pretty clear to me that he has violated his oath of office. If he was my representative I would be working to have him removed.

A civil war cannon is frankly much less dangerous than weapons we are allowed to carry on the streets in many of the states and cities in our country today. This guy has a PhD in physics yet doesn't know the carnage a civil war cannon ball can inflict?

Perfection will never be possible; even the founders sometimes disagreed on what something in the constitution “really meant.”
But that’s different from giving up on the whole idea.

Congressional Oath of Office:
"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
Looks like he Broke His Oath of Office
