GOP Sen Grassley: ‘It Would Be Suicide’ to Fire Mueller – ‘POTUS Ought to Have Confidence in him’
Breitbart ^ | 4/10/2018 | Ian Hatchett

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) stated it “would be suicide” to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller and President Trump should have “confidence” in Mueller.

Grassley said, “I have confidence in Mueller. The president ought to have confidence in Mueller. And I think…it would be suicide for the president to want, to talk about firing Mueller. The less the president said on this whole thing, the better off he would be, the stronger his presidency would be.”

Grassley also praised Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ work and argued the president shouldn’t put the Senate through another confirmation battle.

Going after the president’s personal attorney, while the president himself is being investigated, for any reason, is WAY BEYOND anything that a civilized nation should tolerate.

I guess I’m missing something. I always thought that we had the right to obtain council and not have to worry about the state coming in and seizing our communications with that council.

If this happened with Ken Starr, the Republicans would be all over it, based (correctly) on the precedent it sets.

Either fire them or stop complaining on Twitter.

Rush constantly pointed out that Obama complained endlessly about HIS government as if he were on the outside looking in. Trump has the same tendency, doesn't he?

What you suggest is the equivalent of going full scorched earth. Short term it would be gratifying, long term it would do nothing. A better tactic would be to expose what has been going on and what congress has turned a blind eye to.

In view of all we know, of the secrecy, of his appointments to serve on the investigation, of his seemingly slow walking the investigation into the next election; how can any right thinking American have confidence in Mueller?????? I don’t!!!

Well, it looks like Senator Grassley is telling us that we need to look at the last time a sitting President had this happen to his personal attorney.

Wait, what? It’s never happened before? How can that be?

I know exactly what I am talking about. this situation is beyond politics and certain elements that protect this nation will get involved in this and it will be ugly.

Is Grassley also comfortable with the raid on attorney/client privilege? How disgusting they are and then they will wonder why they will be slaughtered in the next election.

I am sickened by our political “leaders.”

You need to understand this that the Deep State is going to go and it will be one of two ways. One peaceful or one violent.

Grassley is a useless douche but he can pen a terrific letter to the FBI when agents tinkle on his pant leg.
