ABC News has learned that Geoffrey Berman, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, is recused from the Michael Cohen investigation.
Two sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News Berman was not involved in the decision to raid Cohen's office because of the recusal.
The recusal was approved by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
The raid of Cohen's handled by others in the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and approved by a federal judge.

OKAY— so who approved the WARRANT? Who? What obamaumao holdover lackey lick spittle who thought it was OK to have the President’s personal attorney’s offices and residences raided. A first in the long history of abuse by a criminal acting FBI and DOJ.
The warrant applications may be sealed.... but surely Cohen demanded a copy of the Warrant issued for his “seizures”. They could not refuse him a copy of the Warrant.
Anything else and this is the Geheim Staats Polizei-== GESTAPO tactics.
Yes, he received his copy of the warrant. Which is useless in defending yourself from it. You need the affidavits of probable cause the warrants were based on and keeping them sealed prevents or delays quashing the search warrant and buys them time for the copying of the seized files.
There is absolutely no good reason to seal the affidavits except to create delay and to keep the public in the dark.
What’s sad is Trump can trust nobody at this point. He’s on his own.

Therefore the “CLIENT” that is the POTUS sends another attorney to demand the affidavits to explain just WHAT would be so heinous to break the client’s RIGHT to privileged communication with his attorney. Specifically, what crime would justify yet another FAKE basis for a search in the similar fashion the DOJ and FBI allowed false evidentiary FISA court applications for surveillance. Same kind of “collateral” oh look what we found. The CLIENT has a right to know what crime is being created by the investigators.... after the fact of the investigation being ordered without benefit of a crime.
The President can order (through Mr. Sessions, since these are not RUSSIA related) unsealing the affidavits— and that would NOT be obstructing either. Uncover the secret court.
