On Monday, talk radio host Mark Levin called for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to step down.
Levin said, “I want to make a point here…and it will destroy a 30-year friendship. It’ll destroy it. … But I really do think it’s time for the attorney general to step aside. It’s time for the attorney general to step aside.”
He added, “[T]he buck stops on the attorney general’s desk, even if he recused himself, as he did, on the Russia matter, this is not the Russia matter. And the entire department’s out of control now.”

I came to that conclusion before fall of last year. Jeff Sessions has done nothing but strengthen that conviction, since then.
I can't help but wonder how some people still don't see this.

I think the Obama deep staters captured Sessions from day one, neutralized him as a threat, then forced him to be their shield and servant.
This is why he remains recused, yet won't resign. They've made him a figurehead, while their boy Rosenstein is the real AG.

Levin now seems to be an honest broker type. He praises Trump for the good stuff, but will take him to task for the bad.

Hate to differ with you, Gene, but blackmail has been a workable tool against politicians since time immemorial. Why do you think so many promising young politicians turn into complete slime after taking office?
Sessions' family may not be the target of a blackmail threat. It could just as easily be a threat against his reputation or personal dignity. He may well have secrets that would destroy him, if they were revealed.
Sessions isn't a fool. He knows full well what sort of damage he's causing by remaining in office while having his hands tied. He would have stepped aside a year ago, unless some powerful inducement was forcing him to stay.
Just look at it, bud. The truth is as plain as day.

Re-watch the Sessions recusal video, the man was nearly in tears, he was shaking. Whatever they have on him is Massive.
And I'm good with that, which is why I stopped reflexively turning off his program the moment I heard his theme song.
If Sessions is compromised, they likely also have told him he cannot quit or resign.
I hope for the sake of our country's survival, that behind the scenes, there is some undisclosed reason for his seemingly treacherous lack of any sort of action toward deep state players.
