Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey aroused controversy after labeling a Medium article “great” that claimed there’s no “bipartisan way forward” in the United States and that the country is engaged in a “fundamental conflict between two worldviews that must be resolved in short order.”
Dorsey shared the Medium article on his personal Twitter account Thursday night, with the accompanying acclaim that it was a “great read.”
Author and media consultant Peter Leyden and political commentator Ruy Teixeira argued in the article titled “The Great Lesson of California in America’s New Civil War” that America is already in the midst of a second major domestic conflict of sorts and the way out is for the rest of the country to imitate California.
“In this current period of American politics, at this juncture in our history, there’s no way that a bipartisan path provides the way forward,” they wrote. “The way forward is on the path California blazed about 15 years ago.”
Essentially, the authors called for a complete marginalization of the Republican Party and its voters since they only care “about rule by and for billionaires at the expense of working people” and not “average citizens.”
California, despite its mass wealth inequality, growing lack of social cohesion, poverty, and soaring housing costs “provides a model for America as a whole,” according to Leyden and Teixeira. Interestingly enough, they claimed the state’s economy is booming, although arguably not for long. They also oddly claimed the state is running on surpluses without acknowledging its debt crisis.
“The public is happy with its political leaders,” they noted. However, California Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, has a 44 percent approval rating. The article also does not acknowledge...

Perhaps he should read up on Sherman, Patton, and Pershing to fully understand why he is wrong.
Message here is that conservatives need to get out and vote!
There really can be no common ground or reconciliation with the Left. There might not be an overt war, but there will be blood and chronic division.
Yesterday I had to drive through the downtown and seedier parts of both Oakland and San Jose:
the number of homeless people I see there is absolutely stunning, even compared to just two or three years ago.
basically they are little shanty towns all over the place.
Under the fiery leadership of McConnell and Ryan, I expect the blue wave to be repelled and DJTs #MAGA agenda to become GOPe doctrine. Right?
btt

Lefties/DIMS would do well to consider the perspective offered by Kurt Schlichter:
Lets get it on, Jack. Weve been waiting patiently.

“basically they are little shanty towns all over the place.”
Which need to be referred to as “Obamaville” every time they are discussed.
During the 90’s Milton Freidman was interviewed in one of the Sunday Supplement newspaper magazines. He was asked “what do see for the future”. His answer was that in the World there are two kinds of people. One kind believes that it has the right to tell others what to do. The other believes that they have the right to be left alone to live their own lives and will not allow themselves to be told what to do. This conflict has existed for all of recorded history, has never been resolved, and has always resulted in bloodshed until one or the other side wins, temporarily. THAT is what he saw for the near future. I think we are now there.
LOL!
Ryan and McConnell are the two progressives who have hindered the President the most.
Why surprising?
CA subsidizes homelessness to the point of making it a reasonable & viable living choice.
The safe escape is secession. There must be a ethnic diaspora to preserve Western Civilization. It will happen at some point. South Africa is the canary in the coal mine. It will be harsh, cruel, messy, deadly, and could ultimately fail. If it does fail expect 1,000 years of darkness. Blame globalists who want to eliminate all culture and ethnic identity from the face of the Earth. Blame progressives who are their handmaidens. Don’t blame the families in Smalltown, USA who are simply trying to live their legacy.
90 percent of the 44 percent are illegal registered voters. Americans have no say anymore in California.
So why hasn’t Jack given away all his money yet?
The leadership of CA is out of touch with its own citizens. Maybe they should have their own civil war before trying to spread their goofy politics to the rest of the country.
If nothing changes, CA will look like Venezuela in another 10 years.
Hilarious because the average citizens are fleeing California as fast as they can.
