(KGTV) -- The woman accused of hitting a pedestrian in Oceanside and continuing to drive after his body went through the windshield of her vehicle was found guilty Friday afternoon.
A jury Friday found 31-year-old Esteysi Stacy Sanchez guilty of murder in the second degree, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and hit and run with death or permanent serious injury.
Deputy District Attorney Robert Bruce told the jury that Sanchez displayed a conscious disregard for human life when she drove drunk and ran over 69-year-old Jack Ray Tenhulzen on a sidewalk on Mission Road near the state Route 76 bridge the morning of June 27, 2016.
Tenhulzens body went through the windshield and into the passenger seat of her car. The bottom of the victim's leg was severed in the accident but was recovered at the back of the car near the rear window.
Tenhulzen was declared dead at the scene.
Defense attorney Herb Weston argued that Sanchez was tired and fell asleep behind the wheel and rode up on the sidewalk, striking Tenhulzen. He said Sanchez "freaked out" when she saw the victim's body in her car and kept driving, finally stopping a block from her home. Sanchez was eventually arrested at her home, and she had shards of glass in her hair when taken into custody. Authorities said her blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit about two hours after the collision.
Sanchez faces up to 15 years to life in prison. A probation and sentencing hearing is set for May 31.

The Union-Tribune states: "Sanchez, who authorities suspect is an unauthorized immigrant, has been jailed since the day of the crash."

Breitbart states: "U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) put a hold on Sanchez shortly after her arrest. An ICE statement regarding the case included that ICE believes Ms. Sanchez is subject to removal from the U.S.
Another character trait from south of the border. And they live among us by the millions now.
They don't know?
How diligent of them!
I tried to google for an image of the victim. Nothing. Plenty for her though. Petulant, arrogant, stupid and skank-ho come to mind as descriptions.
Oh my...her page of images is very revealing.
And she’s had a LOT of “work” done, if you know what I mean.
(((Probably in an “unlicensed” facility in the back of a Miami Garage.)))
Above was taken just before they threw the cuffs on it.
This is horror movie stuff.
“Esteysi”
For a high you won’t forget...
She is an illegal, a fact conveniently left out of the story.

I clearly remember that story. Payback for slavery I guess, or some such. She SHOULD’VE been given the DEATH penalty for the torture that man endured prior to dying.
I very much remember the 2001 story. I was wondering if this was the same incident, and it took her that long to get to trial? Maybe I should be surprised if any of these idiots get justice.
I don’t think it’s a “south of the border” thing.
It is a human depravity thing.
I remember that one as well, the guy was pleading with her to get help, and she just parked it in the garage and went inside.
She was just a dreamer, busy dreaming behind the wheel of her car, when the sidewalk and the pedestrian got in her way.
It’s not just from south of the border. It’s also found among our elite. She faces up to 15 years in prison. Ted Kennedy got a two-month suspended sentence.
If you don’t like the way illegal skanks drive, stay off the sidewalk.
Good.
Life is really, really cheap South of the border. That mentality is imported with them.
This happened in Houston years ago. The woman drove under carport and went inside while the woman lying halfway through the windshield was screaming for help. She died during the night.
