A Wake Forest University religion professor thinks it is not just illogical to believe in God, but also immoral, according to a Wednesday report.
Dr. Jarrod Whitaker specializes in South Asian religions at the North Carolina school and also allegedly asserted that belief in an objective truth “is the most tremendous evil that is responsible for all the great suffering in the world,” reported The Wake Forest Review.
The professor would perpetually “explain why Christian theology is problematic, racist, sexist, imperialist, and fundamentally evil,” Whitaker’s Catholic student John told the Review, who kept his identity concealed.

I don’t think this “professor” is pitting “evil” Christianity over against atheism, more like pitting “evil” Christianity over against the eastern religions of southeast Asia.
The reason he is so against Christianity, is it is “objective.” Well, what does he think he is doing with his southeast Asia religions? He’s very objective about them, he holds them to be the truth, as opposed to Christianity.

The school is in Winston Salem....brought there by RJR to be the DUKE of the Reynolds family Tobacco heirs - is a great school but is poorly lead from the top down . Too too bad...and way too expensive...has been taken over by the libs...a lot of the students have different views but they have to grin and bear it...no discussion allowed there!
Yeah... this morning I read an article that say a large percentage of millennials think the earth is flat.... That brings our, so called, collage professors into a whole new light....
I don’t believe he would today...you should hear some of his hate speech...boy does he HATE TRUMP! And they can’t even keep the toilets cleared and showers from overflowing nor did they have enough room for all of the rising sophomores to be able to pick one for the fall semester, but he can tell all the students in a public forum during orientation how stupid the new president is . At WFU they are charging $&!,900 a year to play games...a bit high for games...unless it is poker.All of the profs with and without tenure are way over paid. At WFU don’t think some of them even even teach every year.
It's weird but Wake Forest is no longer in Wake Forest. They moved to Winston-Salem (100 miles away) years ago. Now the old Wake Forest campus is the home of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary which is a pretty conservative school. My former pastor taught there.
For the record, the town of Wake Forest is way nicer than Winston-Salem!

If there is no objective truth, I suppose there is nothing wrong in me taking a human life, say that of a religion professor, since it is only “objectively” wrong to do so, and the professor does not believe in such.
The Baptists severed ties decades ago with this lunatic fringe “school”.

Studied in socialist New Zealand. Maybe raised there? Curious about his upbringing, always relevant. No father? Strong Christian father? The mangina is strong in him.

Wake Forest should consider busting him out if they hope to attract the better new students in the fall. Keeping clowns like this guy around is a way to downgrade the standing of a school.
Without objective truth - nothing is true except what you bully people to believe. Which is exactly what this twit wants.
Boy is this “professor” in for a surprise when he finds out what Christ has to say about Christianity.
