FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 6, 2018
Attorney General Announces Zero-Tolerance Policy for Criminal Illegal Entry
Attorney General Jeff Sessions today notified all U.S. Attorneys Offices along the Southwest Border of a new zero-tolerance policy for offenses under 8 U.S.C. § 1325(a), which prohibits both attempted illegal entry and illegal entry into the United States by an alien. The implementation of the Attorney Generals zero-tolerance policy comes as the Department of Homeland Security reported a 203 percent increase in illegal border crossings from March 2017 to March 2018, and a 37 percent increase from February 2018 to March 2018the largest month-to-month increase since 2011.
The situation at our Southwest Border is unacceptable. Congress has failed to pass effective legislation that serves the national interestthat closes dangerous loopholes and fully funds a wall along our southern border. As a result, a crisis has erupted at our Southwest Border that necessitates an escalated effort to prosecute those who choose to illegally cross our border, said Attorney General Jeff Sessions. To those who wish to challenge the Trump Administrations commitment to public safety, national security, and the rule of law, I warn you: illegally entering this country will not be rewarded, but will instead be met with the full prosecutorial powers of the Department of Justice. To the Departments prosecutors, I urge you: promoting and enforcing the rule of law is vital to protecting a nation, its borders, and its citizens. You play a critical part in fulfilling these goals, and I thank you for your continued efforts in seeing to it that our lawsand as a result, our nationare respected.
On April 11, 2017, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a renewed commitment to criminal immigration enforcement. As part of that announcement, the Attorney General issued a memorandum to all federal prosecutors and directed them to prioritize the prosecution of certain criminal immigration offenses.
Todays zero-tolerance policy further directs each U.S. Attorneys Office along the Southwest Border (i.e., Southern District of California, District of Arizona, District of New Mexico, Western District of Texas, and the Southern District of Texas) to adopt a policy to prosecute all Department of Homeland Security referrals of section 1325(a) violations, to the extent practicable.
They played so perfect into Trump’s hands that I almost question if they even exist or if they are just some paid actors.
Zero tolerance...If schools can adopt zero tolerance against children eating snack Pop Tart shaped pistols, the US military should exercise the same against ILLEGAL ALIEN border crossers and drug cartel mules.
Need to build detention camps in the desert. Money sent from their families to pay for their feeding.
No issues with that, at all.
But, I do think, there should and we could develop a guest worker program for farming and agriculture. I know that sounds the complete opposite of what I believe about illegals and the lie of ‘birthright citizenship’. But, I think there are jobs that Americans won’t do. Picking apples, etc. That’s a fact.
Too easy to say you have a bad back, find a crooked disability attorney and crooked judge and go on the SSDI dole, forever.
Let the farms/companies bring folks in. Put a tax on their wages to cover workman’s comp. Companies will be responsible for medical care, if they’re hurt or injured. Automatic deportation for any arrests. Annnnnndddddd.....
THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING THEIR KIDS OVER. IF ONE IS BORN HERE, THEY’RE NOT GRANTED CITIZENSHIP. MOTHER AND CHILD ARE SENT BACK HOME AS SOON AS THE KID CAN TRAVEL.
If any of these people want to become citizens, then they do it the legal way, get a sponsor and go thru the process. No family comes over until they give up their home country citizenship and raise their right hand to take the oath.
L8r
No issues there, at all. Very easy to do. Match all welfare benefits going to kids and their families, up with school records, etc.
However, there has to be exceptions, but very clearly defined exceptions that I think would be easy to determine. However, all benefits, END-CANCELED-NOTHING-NADA-ZILCH!!
I believe that some should get a pass and be granted citizenship, because I feel they’ve earned it:
- Cop, Firefighter, EMT, Doctor, Nurse, Teacher, STEM worker, Military member(honorable service)
- Those that have to apply for it and be granted if they prove that they have a job, own a business, can sustain themselves and their families. NO MORE BENEFITS
EVERYONE ELSE........SEE YA!!!!
I remember reading that the vast, vast majority of DREAMERS & DACA vermin are on welfare, don’t go to school. Very few in the military(less than a thousand).
And we haven’t even talked about the, VISA Overstayers, which get absolutely no relied of any kind. None. They get 10 minutes to pack a bag and are on the first thing smoking, back home. With a, Never to Return stamp, in their passports.
All refugees will begin the process of being sent back home, especially to places like Somalia. If “refugees” in Minneapolis, can travel back their for terror training, then they can go back there permanently.
Any and all citizenship given to the “birth tourists”, mostly Chinese, will immediately be rescinded, forever.
Re: Zero-Tolerance Policy for Criminal Illegal Entry
“Catch and Release” has been USA border policy since 2001.
Trump allegedly “stopped” C&R with an Executive Order in February 2017, but there is little evidence to back that up.
Trump would have needed detention facilities for several hundred thousand men to do that, but such facilities do not exist.
What I’d we could install a giant electronic zapper along the entire border, similar to the bug zappers that people put on their backyard patios?
It's nice to play like we're the "first string" instead of the third string in this game.

Would love to exile the whole family to Gitmo.
Bravo! About bloody time. Now were enforcing laws like Japan.
No water in the desert. Alligators live in swamps and rivers.
Schools can play a key role in this - and would’ve stopped the DACA issue immediately. Schools already verify students belong in the district; they refuse to verify students belong in the country. Too many government workers rely on illegals as their “clients” (in this case, students); American taxpayers bear the financial burden of that schooling.
End that, and they’ll stop coming.
There should be stiff penalties for being an accessory to illegal immigration too. It’s big business, lots of money being made.
I don’t see why illegal invaders are entitled to a hearing. However, if we’re going to give them a hearing, it should be “Last-in-First-out”. If it takes half our immigration judges, fine. Grab the criminals at the border, put them in front of a judge that day, order them deported, and send them home before sunset.
If they have some claim that gives them a legal right to stay, usually because they were coached by America’s globalist enemies, put them on polygraphs to verify it. That would be (1) intimidating, and (2) somewhat effective. If they pass that, and if their lawyers demand time to obtain documents or witness statements, lock the criminals up while waiting for those documents. They have front of the line opportunities in the courts, so no “rights” are being violated - they can go back to their real homes any time they want.
While that means a longer wait before the criminals released by Obama finally get their immigration hearings, it will also mean a drastic reduction in new illegals. We can work on our backlog from that end rather than from people who have been here a decade or more and already have welfare-supported anchor babies.
They could break out some of those fancy crowd control weapons they used against American citizens furious over the bank bailouts.
We should not accept asylum applicants that have set foot in a different country before they arrive here.
Asylum applicants must be compelled to apply for asylum in the first safe country they set foot in, as per the convention the rest of the world adheres to.
