Things are going Trump’s way. He should not agree to an interview with Mueller.
The Washington Post ^ | April 4,2018 | Ed Rogers

Posted on 04/06/2018 3:57:29 PM PDT by Hojczyk

I had been searching for the right words to express why I didn’t think President Trump should give an interview to special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, but Chris Christie found them. On ABC’s “This Week,” the former New Jersey governor said Trump “should never walk into that room with Robert Mueller.” If he does, Christie suggested, the president’s affinity for the “hyperbolic” could set in, and when dealing with federal agents, “that can send you to jail.” There you have it: an interview could lead to jail.

A Trump interview with Mueller would introduce a new variable at a time when things are actually becoming clearer. This notoriously undisciplined president needs to do all he can to prevent another self-inflicted wound. If he is able to do that, Democrats and their allies in the media would have no choice but to move on from the “fake news” Russian collusion story, and turn some of their attention to the pending inspector general report and the growing Huber investigation. The tables might turn.

Things may be coming to a close for the president, but they just might be getting started for the Democrats. Stay tuned.

Real advice from the compost? The editors surely did not see this.

Hopefully Trump learned his lesson yesterday with the Stormy Daniels comment.

Say nothing.

Not an editorial advice from the compost, it is a column by Rogers.

Other day Trump throws away a speech an goes on the fly. He likes to do that. He does that in a Mueller interview and Donald just being Donald will end up with perjury or obstructing justice or some other charge because one or more answers wont be word for word of previous answers. Stay AWAY from Mueller you do not have to testify as a sitting POTUS

Mueller’ goal is to get him before a DC jury on any pretext, where he wouldn’t have a prayer. Something like, “He lied when he told me he never talked to that Russian 10 years ago.”

Here is the counter-argument: Accept the interview, and tell the 63 million to oil their rifles and load magazines three days prior.

And that will end this BS for good, and America will rediscover the meaning of militia and the 2nd Amendment for another generation.

I hope he listens to reason and does not go with or without the best lawyer on the planet. He may not realize that he has a habit of sometimes contradicting himself, or repeating phrases for emphasis, that could be made to be lying or anything else that crafty Mueller can pull off.

Our president seems to be a very outward-looking, task-oriented, person with perhaps not much of a penchant for introspection. Like a lot of us, even those of us who have learned to search our consciences. Sometimes we miss very important things about ourselves, well at least I do. Often they crop up in some unexpected manner but you can't count on it.

Please, Mr. President, don't do it. For the good of yourself, your family, the country and what you have accomplished so far!

I would like to think that when Trump makes a mistake or blunder, he and his people are quick to learn from it.

Agreed, my good FRiend.

Actually, it is not Mueller who should be interviewed?

I have a few very good questions, btw.

He won’t. He is just running around waving his hand while Sessions is rounding up the illegal operations in the USA.

The only way Trump talks to Muller is with the understanding that Trump is going to reply to every question with: he does not know, he does not remember or he has no knowledge.
