A Republican candidate for Idahos lieutenant governor said women who get an abortion should receive the death penalty if abortion becomes illegal in the state.
State Sen. Bob Nonini, R-Coeur d'Alene, said at a candidate forum hosted by the Christian podcast CrossPolitic that women getting an abortion should be punished.
Moderators asked him if he supported including the death penalty as a possible punishment, and Nonini nodded in response, according to the Associated Press.

...and this.
That’s right. While I am not sure how we should deal with women who get abortions, I am sick of hearing that they are innocent victims especially if they’ve had multiple abortions for birth control
Should we put all child killers in a ‘loony bin?’
The absolutely best way to lose an election is to go off-script on sh*t like that. These damned GOPers never learn.

Protecting innocent life, and being tough on crime in never off script.
Will depend on the state. In PA, could be anything the judge decides. If you get the max it is life in prison without parole. No death. I doubt any judge will give the death penalty.
“This is an absurd question, the sole purpose of which is to make a person like me who is pro life to look foolish. But I’ll try to answer as best I can. I can understand the dilemma facing a young girl who is contemplating an abortion. Scared, desperate without resources I would want our state to have a place where she could get counseling on choices other than to abort the child. I would not support a process that would lead to the death penalty.”
I agree. There will always be a place to go to get an abortion, but it should not be a God Given Right. Let individual states decide this. We all know that a good number will allow this procedure, and a majority probably will not. If you get the abortion you pay for it. Matter solved. I’m in favor of allowing women who have the option to put the child up for adoption and to be paid by the family who will accept the baby.
This is what turns me off on some Republicans and Democrats. They go to the extreme ends and make their parties look whacked.
“Scared, desperate without resources “
The Florence Crittenton Homes were one solution-——but the one near me closed years ago.
.
The ones convincing these girls its a viable option should be jailed. The hands that take the life should be put down like a rabid dog.
The EASIEST way to deal with it is to TAKE AWAY GOVERNMENT FUNDING of ABORTION.
Additionally make abortion providers to meet the very same standards (as to staffing, equipment, sanitary) as other medical providers.
Perhaps even rule that after an abortion the woman must be kept under observation for at minimum 12 hours (for the health and safety of the woman of course).
He's a ringer to help the Republicans lose.

You have to WIN THE ELECTION first, to be able to DO anything in regards to either of those.
The proper answer is always “How does THAT issue put people back to work, put food on their table, protect their jobs, lower their taxes, and repair the damage that the Democrats did to the Country?”
Yep. Political judo. Progressives are good at their game. Sad it’s a game over such humanly important concerns.
Legal history shows that this is not true. When abortion was illegal in all 50 states (before Hawaii and NY legalized it in 1970), it was not a capital crime in the criminal code.
I remember when Newt tried to explain why women soldiers should not be sloshing around in water filled trenches, certain periods of the month.
If only birth control pills were not to expensive for these young women... 😀
You may not have noticed but that is an old fashioned idea on FR of late.
