Their committed effort will most likely pay off in the House. But I'm confident POTUS will focus like a laser on keeping the Senate, so his Supreme Court picks can be approved and we don't have to settle for some Merrick Garland namby-pamby choice. Can someone tell me what good the GOPe House does POTUS? I can't think of a single thing, other than keeping Nanzi Pelosi off the podium. The whole "Impeach Foty-Fi" hype is a nice fund-raising theme for lefty-leaning districts, but it won't hurt POTUS. If anything it will ensure re-election in 2020. Done with the GOPe.

We had so much momentum when Trump won, and Trump had to spend and still has to spend his time fighting with the GOP. Imagine if they had set to work accomplishing his agenda beyond tax cuts. They might be riding high now. Independents may go Dem, and their base is not sitting at home in part because they aren’t enthused.
