The Latest: Russian spokeswoman mocks Britain's allegations

A boy looks through a bus window alleged to be carrying Russian diplomats and their family members who were ordered to leave the US, as they depart from Vnukovo 2 government airport, outside Moscow, Russia, Sunday, April 1, 2018. The United States and more than a dozen European nations kicked out Russian diplomats on Monday and the Trump administration ordered Russia's consulate in Seattle to close, as the West sought joint punishment for Moscow's alleged role in poisoning an ex-spy in Britain. A spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry says Britain's failure to track down the source of a nerve agent used to poison a Russian ex-spy shows that the accusations against Russia have been based merely on baseless suspicion.

Maria Zakharova cited the head of the British defense laboratory's acknowledgement that scientists didn't identify the origin of the nerve agent used to poison former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in England on March 4.

In a mocking statement posted Tuesday on Facebook, Zakharova said: "I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow (British Prime Minister) Theresa May and her bright team say that all their speeches in Parliament and efforts to build a global coalition resulted from the Russian hackers hacking into Disney cartoon studios."

I tell you - the Russians faked the evidence to embarrass the Brits!

How clever of them! Suspicion of Russian collusion or lack of it, is consuming the West.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the West’s expulsions of Russian diplomats “childish games.”

As if to underline his point, the US State Department said Russia could replaced its expelled diplomats.

What was the point of the drama? It was an absurd exercise of musical chairs that solved nothing.

the lace panty brigade at State Dept wanted to send a “forceful” message that such nastiness as killing a defector is “unacceptable”

It is limp-wristed diplomatic BS

The whole of western civilization, led by msm, gopE and dems, is demonizing Russia as a scape goat. I fear this could end badly.

Yes, as much as I don't trust Russia re: Iran because I know how Ezekiel 38 is going to go down, there seems to be a drumbeat to ramp up ..... something.

I was very suspicious of the Democrats doing this around election time in 2016.

Going back to Buffalo Springfield, hippies though they were...the song....

“There's something happening here. What it is ain't exactly clear.”

Those two lines have been playing in my memory ever since the Lying Kenyan was anointed and nobody in power took a serious look at the obvious fraud for what he was.

But then, I'm on the Nut-Job Conspiracy ping list, so......

But hen I'm on the Nut-Job Conspiracy list, so....

How many items on that list have proven to be true? How many of them have proven to be false? Put me on the list.

I don't trust anything that comes out of Britain. They've got Muslim invasion and stop BREXIT problems with all kinds of nasty behind-the-scenes going on. They're the home of the dossier inventors. My conspiracy-addled brain suspects it's what's been going on since the early 20th century in Europe. Those darn globalists will do anything to degrade Russian power.

There’s a whole lot of people on the left who would benefit from framing Putin for this. And then there’s the Republicans whose minds are still back in the cold war, who confuse Assad Jr. with his father, or who are (rightfully) upset with Putin over the Crimea.

Oh I hear ya. That’s why I’m only somewhat-joking.

[Put me on the list.]

It is actually Mr. Null and Void’s list.

There’s a small requirement to get on his ping list.

You have to threaten to report him to the mods when you ping him.

It’s part of the initiation!

;)

[ The Russians had plenty of opportunities to kill him. Why now? ]

Why not use some chechens to pay some UK jihadis to off them in a “home invasion robbery”.... The UK press covers up jihadi acts in “Used to be Great” Britain all the time these days...

This is why I don’t buy the “Russians used a Russian only made nerve agent to kill a former Russia spy” storyline...

The only way I buy it would be if Russia WANTED to send a message, and they way they are responding to it, it doesn’t seem likely.
