Accusations and recriminations between Britain and Russia are set to escalate with the news that scientists at the Porton Down military research facility have been unable to establish exactly where the novichok nerve agent used to carry out the Skripal attack was manufactured.
The admission comes the day before Moscow convenes an emergency meeting of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague in which it is expected to demand access to samples from the Salisbury poisoning for analysis by Russian scientists.
Russias embassy in London responded that Porton Downs assessment proves that all political declarations on the Russian origin of the crime are nothing but assumptions not stemming from objective facts or the course of the investigation.

Gee. I can’t imagine what/who would do such a thing to stir up the emotions against Russia! Why it COULDN’T be the same crowd that developed the dossier? That had a drink with somebody in London? That sold uranium to Russia? That has a world-wide foundation?
Interesting.
Maybe the Brits could hire Crowdstrike to see if it’s Russian.
First it is the Democrats in the US with Russia Russia Russia and then the Brits - and US kicking out diplomats over this - I wonder if that bear that those folks are poking may get grumpy.
One thing these reports are missing is a Kivelidi case. In 1995 the same agent was used by Georgian mafia to murder a Georgian businessman in Moscow. His office manager and coroner examining the bodies also died. Moscow police found the laboratory behind the agent was neglected by the military after Soviet collapse and at least two employees stolen the agent and sold it to numerous known criminal figures in between 1992 and 1995. It could easily end up at Porton Down.
and was gun running and killed Stevens to cover up
I wonder if this was done by the “deep state” or representatives of “The new world order” for the purpose of “setting up” Putin to take the fall. I’m thinking that if Putin would have done something like this, he would not have used a method that would point almost uniquely back at him.
The Russians can determine where it came from. They kept meticulous records on every batch they made, and where it was stored. Many batches were stored in old Soviet Bloc countries.
Each batch differs slightly, and has a different signature.
This is all open source info on the web...
Did Britain provide Russia a sample, as requested? And, as dictated by the Chemical Weapons Treaty?
Not that easily.

It explains agent proliferation.
Many entities could do it.
Nerve agent?
so can all the Russian diplomats return to their jobs now?
I’d like to see UN take on this. It is a severity of charge and not solid evidence that matters in a New Brave World.
No. Uk and EU have claimed that they believe there was no other plausible explanation other than Russia.
Urkraine?
Yep, limeys might still have a judge who ruled ‘Putin most likely ordered’ the poisoning of Litvinenko.
That’s their new judicial standard.
Nothing.
The Russians aren’t expecting a Western apology to be forthcoming if there’s no evidence they were behind the Skripal poisoning.
Russophobia is the West’s problem to deal with and the truth is the West wants to contain Russia. Crimea, Ukraine and Skripal are simply political pretexts.
Fortunately Russian society is united while the West suffers from deep divisions and Russia can and will break out from Western encirclement.

Cui bono? Maybe jihadists who don’t want the west and Russia to unite and kick their rears?
