That’s what I’ve been thinking, too.
That is why this story is hard to believe.
1. Starting in central America, it is twice as far to California as it is to South Texas. Why would they march twice as far? And why would they cross two deserts on their march?
2. This article says they will march up Baja, which means they have to rent a boat on the west coast of Mexico to cross the Gulf of California, so that they can march up Baja, which is also desert.
3. The point of the march was to seek refugee status. If they go to Texas, it is easy to cross the river on a raft to get into the US, then look for an agent to surrender to and ask for refugee status. California is mostly blocked by fences.
Too bad the Mexican government does not also have firm policies in policing their own wayward police and government officials.
I have concluded that the reason to go to California is because there are arrangements in the Sanctuary State to accept the invading horde.
If you look at the map, the road runs toward Nogales Az but turns westward toward northern Baja and urban California. That crosses blistering desert and seems to be very bad news.
Texas is not friendly and certainly not sanctuary. Then there is a river as well

I think you may be correct in this matter... IF the military tries to stop the hordes from coming in I'll wager they'll find more foreign enemy's on the American side then the other...

I believe Trump will do his job. He won’t permit this invasion.
But by citing congress’ responsibility, and the fact that they aren’t meeting it, he gives himself cover for the actions he takes.
He can't wait for Congress on this one. They're on vacation again (when aren't they?). This is an invasion; he's Commander in Chief. The troops on the California border can't wait.
Those invaders get into CA Sanctuary cities and rogue judges protect them, I'm not blaming Congress. It's on President Trump. It's in his emergency powers to act against an invasion of the US.
