Yes, they’re perennials. The three that haven’t come up have been gone a couple of years already so they’re gone for good. The two remaining have multiplied nicely and put on a nice showing last year. This year will be even better, provided I don’t lose them to the cold.

No, I don’t believe they’d do well in your area. They do need more moisture than y’all have. If you tried growing them, you’d have to make a point of watering them regularly.

Well, at least my lilac bush that I have in a big pot in front is blooming up a storm. This is its third year and there are way more flower clusters this time. Of course, we didn’t have a late freeze this year. Or barely ANY freeze.

And hubby’s yellow columbine is exploding with color, too. So we do have something. Oh, and we’ll have amaryllises soon, too. Yay!

But I sure would love if if I could get a gardenia to grow. They are heavenly!

A very pleasant good Tuesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Lauren for this morning's thread.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Sounds like you have some nice color around the yard!
Wish I knew your hubby’s trick with columbine. I really like those but have had no luck with them for some reason. There are still “black death” traces in these ol’ thumbs. LOL!

One thing I’d love to get my hands on again are Gloriosa Lilies. Dad sent a few of them from their gardens a few years ago and I grew them in pots. Our winters are too cold for them and it was easier to do that than to dig them up each fall. Just moved the pots inside for the winter.
A couple of years ago, Hubby was spraying Round-Up to kill weeds and he sprayed around the pots - - of course, accidentally spraying the plants. I was furious. And now I can’t find more.

Oops! Sorry you lost those lilies. They don’t have them somewhere online?

I guess hubby has too good of luck with columbine. He has two clumps of it and it gets bigger each year. He is the one in the family with the green thumb. Mine is as black as night. I’ve killed cactus for heaven’s sake. LOL!

Good morning, E...((HUGS))...I haven’t been up this “late” for a week. Sickness has kept me in bed most of the time.

Hope you and Bo are having good weather so you can go hunting.

Have a great Tuesday. I am off to bed.

Well, hopefully you'll get to feeling better soon.

The pickup passed the 75,000 mile checkup yesterday. Also, my sister from the city came by to do a little bit of housecleaning.

Forecast to be windy today. Hopefully no power outages or blinks.

I looked for them online a while back but didn’t find a place that sells them. I should look again and maybe the luck will be better.

The blossoms are really neat. They’re green when they first open and slowly turn red. They look like little space ships. LOL! And they last a while. The plants are vines so as they grow taller, you keep getting more blooms.
In the late fall, I just cut them off and hauled the pots in.

I gave up on columbines after having no luck 3 or 4 years in a row. Don’t know what the deal is but we don’t get along for some reason.

LOL! It’s pretty bad when you kill cactus.

Thanks....I always like it when my vehicle checkup finds nothing wrong.

I’m off.
