Yes, they’re perennials. The three that haven’t come up have been gone a couple of years already so they’re gone for good. The two remaining have multiplied nicely and put on a nice showing last year. This year will be even better, provided I don’t lose them to the cold.

No, I don’t believe they’d do well in your area. They do need more moisture than y’all have. If you tried growing them, you’d have to make a point of watering them regularly.

Well, at least my lilac bush that I have in a big pot in front is blooming up a storm. This is its third year and there are way more flower clusters this time. Of course, we didn’t have a late freeze this year. Or barely ANY freeze.

And hubby’s yellow columbine is exploding with color, too. So we do have something. Oh, and we’ll have amaryllises soon, too. Yay!

But I sure would love if if I could get a gardenia to grow. They are heavenly!
