Right-wing commentator Laura Ingraham has taken a week off as host of her Fox News television show after more than a dozen companies said they will pull advertisements from her program.
Among the latest corporations to cut ties with Ingraham were Liberty Mutual, which confirmed to CNBC that it doesn't plans to run anymore ads on her show, and Bayer, which made its announcement on social media.

Pet food company Nutrish was the first to announce it would remove ads from Ingraham's evening news and opinion show, "The Ingraham Angle." Well over a dozen companies, including TripAdvisor, Hulu and Nestle, have followed suit since the social media controversy erupted.
Liberty Mutual told CNBC that CEO David Long addressed Ingraham's comments with employees on Friday, saying, "These comments are inconsistent with our values as a company, especially when it comes to treating others with dignity and respect."

For me GEICO wins the ad race hands down. Liberty Mutual targets single women with children they can’t handle without the men they drove away. I do like “Mayhem Like Me”, though.
Maybe someone will destroy his career after he gets out of school......assuming any college will accept him.
The hate, obviously, is fearsomely ferocious.
This is where a look at resources is necessary. Fat-chewing a la FR past and present is positioned to go feckless and obsolete.
The foe is supernatural. Taunt the devil and he’ll teach you what taunting is. No! Glorify the Lord.
Maybe someone will destroy his career after he gets out of school......assuming any college will accept him.
“Will be canceling my Lib Mut auto insurance today. Thanks for the reminder”
She if Wawansa does Auto Insurance in your neck of the woods, great rates. No issues with claims though I really have had none other than on the Home owners Policy with them in which they really came through.
I don’t do business with many on the list, but what I can do:
Already went elsewhere and boycotted Office Depot this week.
Will forgo Nestle, J&J, and Bayer for other products as I need stuff.
Will return my gazebo curtains to Wayfair. Too pricey for what they are anyway but didn’t want the hassle of returning...now I have incentive. Will not purchase slipcover I need for house staging...oh well.
It looks like it’s going to be infernally moot with this Hogg of hate. He has an empire of another kind.
Ingraham will be back on the air soon.
Hogg’s 15 minutes has been extended but will end soon.
Or, maybe ask them if they agree that JROTC Cadets Alaina Petty, 14, Martin Duque, 13, Peter Wang, 15 are less important to the media because...they are dead?
There are two simple reasons for this that make all the sense in the world:
1. Television is generally aimed at a market of minority viewers with lower-than-average intelligence.
2. You'd be hard pressed to find a racial/demographic group that is LESS likely to be swayed by a TV ad than white males.
Perfect case in point for #2 ...
I think the Chevy truck ads built around Bob Seger's classic "Like A Rock" collectively are the best ad campaign in the history of television. And yet I've never even considered buying a Chevy/GMC truck.
Laura returns from vacation, day 1, hour 1. Opening monologue:
“I’d like to recommend that Master Hogg’s parents give him a time-out in his bedroom with no videogames or TV until he turns 18.”
Ummm... I am beginning to doubt it.
Not with the power to uncork this kind of backlash. The lad has the anointing from hell on him to become a redneck version of Farrakhan. He drilled down deep and hell delivered.
Who says he needs college to go big? We need to get the church of all believers pulled together.
If his folks were to do it it would have happened long ago. Nope. Any sentiment is likely to be “Go go go! You have a brilliant political future.”
So these huge companies are worried about a Laura Ingraham Ingraham tweet. Surreal!
But, if Laura said it, mocking the Hogg, he might go over the edge...
The effect can be indirect — if you speak well of such trucks that’s advertising for them too.
Ummm... I might have believed it in yesteryear.
My guess? Some leftist institution (and most public ones are) is going to offer him a full scholarship in political science or the like. And Laura’s pot shot will backfire.
And tapped into a volcano of hate.
I think that powers far larger than Hogg himself have seized him. Even today, Laura’s wiseacre taunt wouldn’t be expected to precipitate what it did.
Except I don’t speak well of the trrucks. I just speak well of the ads. LOL.
