Richard Madaleno, only gay Maryland governor candidate, criticizes rival over 'prancing' comment

Two Democratic gubernatorial candidates are clashing over the implications of the verb "to prance."

State Sen. Richard S. Madaleno Jr. has accused tech entrepreneur Alec Ross of engaging in dog-whistle politics by implying a state senator "prances around Annapolis talking" instead of getting things done. Madaleno is the only gay gubernatorial candidate.

He told The Washington Post that he thought the word choice was "interesting," and his campaign put out a statement calling it "poor and insensitive."

They’re all chasing that golden ring. But I think Hogan is milquetoast enough to win re-election. He’s treated Trump like kryptonite and that should assuage the on-the-fence white voters enough. He’s married to a Korean woman and I think the Korean and Asian American turnout was much higher than normal for the first election.

I’m planning to. I like my job but more importantly. I’m involved with some youth ministry stuff that I’m not ready to turn over to someone else just yet although I’m slowly transitioning that away.

Then we got the kids. All are adults. One’s career choice may require he stays here or Florida, Houston or Huntsville. (Space)

One lives in Virginia but doesn’t have deep roots there yet. Another is in Michigan where we plant to return to and the other is getting his CDL so he can live or work anywhere.

Ultimately, we wouldn’t mind getting them all in somewhat close proximity again.
