GOP strategist to Trump: A ‘storm is coming’ in Russia investigation (Mueller still at it)
NYPOST.COM ^ | 4/1/18 | MARK MOORE

Posted on 04/01/2018 3:52:20 PM PDT by Liz

Alex Castellanos, Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney's campaign strategist, told ABC’s “This Week” it’s hard to believe that “Robert Mueller is not going to dig up something in Trump’s complicated financial history......”......a switch in Republicans’ fortune in Congress after November’s mid-term elections could bring dire consequences for the Trump presidency.

“It’s hard to believe then that when Republicans lose the House in 2018, maybe by 40 or 50 seats, that the House is not going to impeach him,” Castellanos said. “And that a Senate that’s scared to death, but still be in Republican hands, is not going to take a serious look when it has to deal with this president,” he said. “So Trump should get good legal help now, because the storm is coming.”

Trump’s legal team has been reduced to 2-3 attorneys after lead lawyer John Dowd resigned March 22 after a quarrel over how to respond to Mueller’s prosecutors. Dowd urged a more cooperative approach and advised Trump not to do a sit-down interview with Mueller. But Trump favored more aggressive tactics and spoke about his desire to be grilled by Mueller.

In the days around Dowd’s departure, a number of high-profile lawyers, including GWB's solicitor general, decided against joining.....Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow, who have been advising the president in Mueller’s probe since last summer.

This guy Catellanos is awfully sure Democrats are gonna take 40-50 seats at midterms.

What is he——a Democrat soothsayer?

Latest Fox poll shows Dims have just a 5% advantage over the GOP in the mid-terms, it was 15%. This does not equate to the Dims gaining 40+seats om the House. Not even close.

All of this raises the question of the true purpose of Mueller’s investigation. Is it an honest search for truth or a
continuation of the anti-Trump plot hatched during the losing campaign's aftermath by vengeful Hillary supporters?

As the noted civil libertarian, Alan Dershowitz, famously observed: A special prosecutor is not appointed to criminalize
political differences. That tactic does not belong in a republic......it was commonly used in the former Soviet Union.

"Show me the man and I'll show you the crime," is a phrase emanating from that brutal era.

==================================

Americans demand to know who Mueller is talking to, to determine who is directing his actions. Is he talking to:

<><> political figures,

<><> DNC types,

<><> party regulars

<><> elected Democrats,

<><> Hillary's campaign apparat,

<><> Democrat-connected PAC's,

<><> super-delegates,

<><> Hillary's campaign honchos,

<><> the Clinton Foundation (her campaign financer)?

It's time to get ahold of Muellers's e-mails, snail mails, wire transfers, phone records, hard drives, software, blackberries.
Course, it's possible Mueller wouldnt be THAT stupid with his commmuniques.
Therefore, every communication device in use by the S/P's office needs to be in the hands of the DOJ.

====================================

ACTION NOW: contact

AG Jeff Sessions
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530-0001
Comment Line: 202-353-1555

TALKING POINTS: Mr Mueller needs to be held accountable to Americans.
He was charged with finding a Russian connection to the 2016 campaign.
But Mueller seems to have discarded his original raison d'etre.

We demand to know the true purpose of Mueller’s endless investigation. Is he on an honest search for truth
or are his willy-nilly actions a continuation of the rabid anti-Trump plot hatched by bummed out Hillary supporters?

Hey Trump, you put Sessions at the top of DOJ, you deserve this nonsense. I voted for the guy all the way back to the primaries, but I have no sympathy for his blunder with Sessions.

Castellanos has played the role of token GOP concern troll for years. He was the same way during Mitt’s campaigns in 2011 and 2012. He is correct that the president needs competent lawyers, familiar with court procedure and carefully laid trap doors. They should be able to aggressively and accurately state their case to the court.

The myopic Mueller and the corrupt FBI crowd see Russian agents behind every Republican filing cabinet. But they are sickeningly apathetic about Obama, Hillary and Bill Clinton’s policies, decisions, and actions that gave aid and comfort to Russia.

Obama and Hillary’s major flopola——the much-mocked “Russian reset button”-—— established the tone for Obama and the Clintons’ coziness with the Kremlin.

BACKSTORY On March 6, 2009, during a trip to Geneva, she presented Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov a small, red button. Halfrican Obama, and Secy Hillary thought it was emblazoned with the Russian word for “reset.” The button actually read “overload.” Nonetheless, Clinton and Lavrov jointly pressed the symbolic button. A new era in US–Russian relations had begun. THE OBAMA/HILLARY RUSSIAN LOVE AFFAIR-—While visiting Moscow on March 24, 2010, Secy Hillary explained the Reset Button’s purpose: “Our goal (meaning Obama and the State Dept) is to help strengthen Russia.” March 30 No need to ask Obama and Clinton about their Russian connections-——the paper trail is long and wide.

HILLARY’S STATE DEPT——AND THE OBAMA YEARS-—UNRELENTING SCANDAL
By Ari Lieberman

EXCERPT The taxpayer financed-Skolkovo Scandal – While serving as secretary of state, Clinton oversaw a program meant to “reset” relations with Moscow and improve ties. The program centered around the Russian city of Skolkovo near Moscow with the stated aim of “identifying areas of cooperation and pursuing joi nt projects and actions that strengthen strategic stability, international security, economic well-being, and the development of ties between the American and Russian people.”

Hillary’s State Dept program transformed Skolkovo into a technology hub akin to a Silicon Valley. Sensitive American technology was transferred to the Russians, substantially enhancing their military and cyber capabilities. The US Army and the FBI concluded that Russia had exploited the program for military applications. The FBI warned American technology companies doing business in Skolkovo that the Skolkovo project was a means by which the Russians would acquire dual use technologies and apply them for military ends. According to investigative author Peter Schweizer, Russian and American companies and individuals involved in the Skolkovo fiasco “had major financial ties to the Clintons.”

Moreover, during the Russian reset period, those entities provided the Clintons with “tens of millions of dollars” in the form of “contributions to the Clinton Foundation, paid for speeches by Bill Clinton, or investments in small start-up companies with deep Clinton ties.” (hat tip frontpagemagazine.com)

“Dowd urged a more cooperative approach and advised Trump not to do a sit-down interview with Mueller.”

Does this sentence make sense to anybody? I’m not sure why Dowd was fired. It sounds like he wanted Trump to do the right thing & fire mueller’s ass.

Its Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow who should have their asses fired for, in Roger Stone’s words, “slow walking Trump to the gallows”. Which is exactly what they’re doing.

Gaslighting Never Trumpers like this buffoon never give up. No matter how pathetic they look. So you could say they are Democrats I suppose

It’s been pointed out many times McConnell likes to stab conservatives in the back in the dark. No way would he want his and the GOPe’s finger prints all over the removal of Trump from WH.

I’m sure McConnell is quite happy with the current situation. The Mueller soft coup is hamstringing and distracting POTUS to his benefit. Why would he want to change that?
