The internal FBI report that served as grounds for the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe includes key testimony from his former boss that shows a discrepancy with McCabe's public statements, according to multiple sources familiar with the report.
Former FBI Director James Comey told internal investigators at the Justice Department that he could not recall McCabe telling him about having authorized FBI officials to talk to a reporter about an ongoing investigation, the sources said.
Comey's comments to the Justice Department's inspector general's office, which were later included as part of the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility report on McCabe that prompted his firing earlier this month, put him at odds with the statements McCabe has made about authorizing FBI officials to provide information to the Wall Street Journal in an October 2016 story about FBI and Justice Department tensions over an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

Comey isn’t the one having an internet beg-a-thon to raise money for lawyers.
Ahhhhh......sounds like Comey should have turned McCabe in...
There is an old saying, “When you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything.” Comey and McCabe had an agreement between them to lie, but for whatever reason, one of them chose not to honor the agreement. Does it really matter which one it was if they both go to prison?
Apparently Comey didn't rush to his computer to make "notes" like he did with the President.
It is interesting that all of these characters believe that they can still use the media to create their own ‘court of public opinion’..
The mere fact that they still feel safely protected by the MSM’s “Talking Points Along the Potomac” is stunning......
But this construct, to which they cling is like a piece of flotsam in what is now a ‘Man Overboard’ scenario...... is all they have and they are incapable of change.
You don’t really think anyone’s going to prison, do you?
If all McCabe gets accused of is lying about telling a subordinate to talk to the WSJ, then you know the fix is in.
Phraseology is important. “Cannot recall” is a prime example of weasel words, designed to give someone an ‘out’. Did Comey actually use these words?
Unless my memory is faulty or this is from a different Comey statement, my recollection is that he gave definitive negative answers relative to this subject.
If Comey told investigators he “could not recall”, he can’t be accused of lying. Sounds like he was taught by Hillary.
WHEN will there be INDICTMENTS and PROSECUTIONS for what we ALL KNOW went on???
If I had to talk to the FBI I dont remember would be saying d a lot. Beats being in Flynns position.
So then Horowitz's report is an "internal" report?
"The report will come in January".
"The report will come in March".
"The report will come in April".
"The report will come in April or May".
"The report is an internal report".
Sorry, I can't think of a single humorous comment.
The miracle cancer cure has been found and should be available for human testing in five to ten years. Ever read one of those reports? I have read many similar headlines in my lifetime.
