Hmmmm. 28.5%?. Fair share my butt. Sounds like we're paying about 28.6% more than we should be. I bet someone is soiling their britches wondering about making payments on their beach house now. FTUN!

"In response, AP reported, spokesmen for Assembly President Miroslav Lajcak and U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres noted the 193 U.N. member states will decide the budget."
You can decide any budget you want but WE will decide what number we put on any checks coming your way.

Second largest China is only at 10%?
Why? Why is the USA agreeing to this FUBAR scheme?
It is so past time for us to leave the UN.

U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres noted the 193 U.N. member states will decide the budget Fine. You "decide the budget" - and then decide how you're going to fund it - because we aren't going to do that any more!

It is time that cadre of America-haters is thrown out of the USA -— Africa would be a good spot for them.

The UN is so used to American leaders who just roll over and do whatever they want.

We need a movement to relocate the UN Headquarters every, say, 5 years. It’s only fair, right?

And let’s count the opportunity cost of hosting that organization on prime real estate.
Shouldn’t the UN be in Switzerland?
Why does America pay more than anybody else? Arent all countries supposed to be equal? At the very least the other security council members ought to pay the same as America. We should inform the UN thats all we will pay from now on.
And we need to get their corrupt festering crap hole of a headquarters off of our territory.

Put the new UN in Gaza. It can rotate with Mogadishu every 5 years. And make both compounds totally green, including vehicles.

I suggest $0.00 on the next check and watch them scramble. Now THAT would be fun to watch.

Besides which, according to the lyin’ king, we’re not exceptional anyway, so why should we pay an exceptional amount?

True. The world has relied on the US for too many things since World War 2. It’s time for the rest of the world to step up, and build their own economies and industries. And to fix their own messes
