Meadows is either a dumbass or he’s doing kabuki theater. I hope it’s kabuki because we could use at least one Congressman who has a clue.

On March 8, Twitter suspended the personal Twitter account of Jessie Liu, the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. USA Liu will prosecute any cases brought within the District. Liu's Twitter offense was her open taunting of the Podesta brothers for their parts in the last crime listed above. The Podestas have no grounds to sue Liu because...

@jessieKUSA?

OK. That account is suspended. So, I googled for twitter jessiekusa. The first hit refers to deleted tweet #967288965110800384. I searched Google's wastebasket for the tweet and found:

If you can imagine a US Attorney uttering such a tweet, you have me beat. I mean, the tweet is dead on, but no way would a real US attorney utter it!

The only logical conclusion is, someone other than the US attorney (appointed by Trump) registered the account and posted the tweet. And Twitter did the right thing by shutting the account down.

Perhaps a few here need to read the federal statute of limitations! It was 5 years.

Sessions is an embarrassment. He is so cautious. He is a consumat bureaucrat. He has to check off every procedural box on the way to appointing a Special Counsel. The Democrats go straight for the jugular. BOOM. No evidence Trump colluded with Russia? No problem. BOOM straight to Special Counsel Mueller to go on a fishing expedition.

Sessions? Nope, baby steps. His brain is seized up with bureaucratic procedure and he slowly and painstakingly has to exhaust every bureaucratic procedural step in the process. He is like all failed bureaucrats — process oriented not goal oriented. Instead of asking “how do I achieve my goal” he asks “what is the process by-the-book.

I hate Sessions more with each passing day. Appointing Sessions as AG has been Trumps greatest blunder by far. Signing the omnibus spending bill is nothing compared to Trumps massive mistake appointing Sessions for AG.

What a disaster this asshat has been.

Spring 2021 the way Sessions is creeping in slow motion. Which will be too late with President Kamila Harris in power.

Sessions doesn’t need to work for Trump, but there is massive evidence of wrong doing in the FISA abuse and unmasking case as well as with HIlary’s emails. Sessions is moving at a snails pace. The evidence to go to a grand jury is already out there.

Why would they use a 2nd Special Counsel instead of a military tribunal?

You have it right..
someone has to stop this madness.. “looking into”.. what??? Shall we ever get to “arrested for crimes and treason”???.

The investigation has been done. Crimes found.
All are guilty... are there none left to prosecute them?

Did Barack do us in!!!

If we lose the house or the next election.. I will blame sessions for eternity.. he set up Mueller and the rest of the crap every day since..and he refuses to see what is going on. Behind the scenes?? Any time I’ve seen him asked about the obvious, he looks bewildered.. doesn’t know.. and I’m supposed to believe he’s got it handled???

‘We have no functional AG.’

No, we have a Deep State AG. Sessions is on board with the attempted coup.

No offense, but I've learned to ignore any posts that include Jay Sekulow as a recommended appointee to a special counsel role in this case. The guy is serving on the president's own legal team, for heaven's sake. That would have CONFLICT OF INTEREST written all over it.

The same goes for DiGenova. His firm represents at least one major target of the FBI in the FISA warrant abuse, so he can't possibly serve as a prosecutor in the case.

Please get a grip on reality before you post this nonsense.

When FBI agent Peter Strozk talked about an “insurance plan” he was referring to Sessions.

Sessions has been and continues to be the “insurance plan” and every thing that has happened with Mueller is caused by Sessions.

Sessions has been lying to POTUS since day one.

Fire Sessions now.

A special counsel would still answer to the DOJ, so I’m not sure why these guys think it would be any different if a second special counsel is named.

Could be that they believe an insider may work to cover up any wrongdoing while and independent prosecutor may actually be independent...

The "special counsel" is not an "independent prosecutor." He is appointed within the DOJ and answers to the U.S. Attorney General or Deputy AG.

That's what I meant when I asked if Rep. Meadows knew how the law actually works. The independent counsel statute where the prosecutor would have reported to Congress instead of the DOJ expired in 1999 and was never renewed.

Do you even know what federal statutes of limitations are?

Apparently you don't.

What is the Statute of Limitations for Federal Crimes?

The statute of limitations is the time limit for filing charges against the defendant. The general federal statute of limitations for felonies stand for the proposition that the government can no longer file criminal charges for an offense once 5 years has passed. The federal statute of limitations is 18 USC 3282.

This statue states: Except as otherwise expressly provided by law, no person shall be prosecuted, tried, or punished for any offense, not capital, unless the indictment is found or the information is instituted within five years next after such offense shall have been committed.

The five year limit just let James Clapper skate for lying to Congress.

Below are the Federal crimes that have no statute of limitation. I don't see; destruction of evidence, conspiracy against the state to overturn a Presidential election, election rigging, lying to congress or lying to the FBI on this list. Do you? However, #39 could possibly fit the actions of the Clintons and Obama and those in the DOJ and FBI that are now under scrutiny and we all know that none of these scoundrels will ever be charged with treason. Playing out the clock is their only hope of escaping the legal consequences they ALL so justly deserve and Sessions is clearly in the DC establishment's tank and doing all he can protect it.
