Inspector General Michael Horowitz Announces IG Investigation into FBI/DOJ FISA Court Abuse…

(snip) --

Here’s the important part to remember – The evidence already exists. The documentation, interviews and gathering of evidence of what happened in Phase-2 and Phase-3 already exists. However, the IG has never announced the opening of that investigation avenue. (Because 2, and 3, were an outcropping of original intent)

Horowitz is not announcing this investigative avenue from a position of only now starting to gather evidence; he already has the evidence. He is now announcing the context for him to drop a report summarizing findings of content from the investigation; a report that has nothing to do with the original launch of the OIG investigation.

In essence he’s announcing the need to write a report based on investigative material he has already gathered. Horowitz already has the material.

I posted a link to that announcement into a couple threads yesterday. It’s certainly quite interesting. If Sessions is worth anything, we’re about to see continual action for a long time, well past the election.

Good to hear.

By the way, I often learn even more in the great comments section following the articles on CTH.

Anybody think this is good news or just business as usual with our politicians — in other words start the funeral processions now as this investigation is dead.

The smart followers left CTH a long time ago. His ‘trust sessions’ bs and by extension his ‘trust the IG report’ is beyond pathetic.

“If Sessions is worth anything, we’re about to see continual action for a long time, well past the election.”.....

1. I don’t see Sessions doing anything.

2. We have seen nothing but “continual action” for a long time with nothing done to resolve it. I anticipate more of the same. Hope I am wrong.

I am trying to track the timeline. If I got it right it was June of 2016 when the DNC alleged Russian hacking of their servers. In July Trump began mocking HRC by sarcastically calling on Putin to release her 33,000 emails. It is also reported that Steele began publishing his “dossier” (which was released in 17 segments) starting in June of 2016 through December 2016 (after the election) but that he was hired some time in April by surrogates for the Clinton campaign.

I still have questions whether this was a grand conspiracy or just a couple of coincidental pieces that were put together later on. While Steele was hired before the DNC claimed it was hacked, it really wasn’t until after Trump started mocking HRC’s security weakness that the allegations of collusion sprang up. I think someone took the Steele info and put it together after Trump’s comments (including his comments like “Why does HRC want war with Russia? Why shouldn’t we have closer ties with Russia?”) and decided that it was enough to allege collusion. At the time they claimed, falsely, that Trump was calling on Putin to hack the HRC campaign though obviously he did no such thing.

They later needed to find real evidence to back up their claims, which is why they went to the FISA court to tap Trump campaign communications - they were fishing for anything they could use to support their false narrative. But they could not get the court to agree to a warrant until they put forth the Steele dossier as supporting evidence, which is a little ironic because they had tried to sell this dossier to numerous news outlets and none of them would publish the allegations because they were so obviously contrived and sensationalized.

The assault is being made in at least two directions with strong and overwhelming force.

Why is a special counsel even necessary? If there is evidence of criminal activity, wouldn’t the US attorney for the DC area be able to handle this matter?

Your post is thought provoking.

You wrote: "I still have questions whether this was a grand conspiracy or just a couple of coincidental pieces that were put together later on" ---- It is a little confusing. We still don't have all the pieces.

I'm praying Mr. Horowitz is really one of "the good guys".

“His ‘trust sessions’ bs and by extension his ‘trust the IG report’ is beyond pathetic.”

So even as AG Sessions appointed a DOJ prosecutor some time back to work with the DOJ IG Michael Horowitz and a grand jury is empaneled, you continue to insist you’re right, nothing is happening.

What will you be saying when the first wave of indictments are made public?

She does a good job of keeping this updated as reports appear in the public square.

The general notion for bringing in an independent investigator is that the DOJ can't be trusted to investigate itself, and the FBI is a branch of the DOJ.

It's all for show. At bottom it is always the government investigating itself, so damage is inflicted according to the rules of accumulating power over the people.
