The Duke Divinity School is hosting a workshop on Confronting White Fragility Tuesday to address why white people have a hard time talking about and acknowledging racism.
This workshop will explore questions of why it is often so hard for white people to have honest conversations about race and racism in the United States today and how can this difficulty in engaging with race and racism manifest in the classroom in harmful waysoften in combination with intersecting issues related to gender and sexuality, a description of the event reads.

I thought maybe this was a class to teach beta males how to grow a pair...........nah, just kidding!
Since the black race totally defines themselves by their color I think the problem is that mentality. If you don’t define yourself by color you don’t think about it and don’t have much speech on it.
Because if a white person is not calling himself a racist when he isn’t, they call him one anyway.
” why white people have a hard time talking about and acknowledging racism.”
Question #1: “Have you stopped beating your wife yet?”
My experience is that law, divinity and probably social work schools have more attendees at things like this than undergrad or medicine or engineering.
I don’t have a problem. Let’s talk. You might not want to hear what I have to say, but that’s too bad.

Changed the race here. Where's this discussion ? Some folks don't want to talk about the REAL problem.
All right. Enough of the trying to eliminate Whites, after taking all their money. They want the USA to become what South Africa is now.
Exactly right. It is a BLACK problem. Indians, Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans are not obsessed by race and they have prospered. Also, I’ve known many recent African immigrants (Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria) who are very well educated and are not racist in the least.
All this is driven by perpetually aggrieved native American blacks and, to a lesser extent, Somalis.
The only reason white people even think about race is it is smashed into their faces every single day without letup.
Thats it - you want to be racist, lets be racist and start having workshops on Black Fragility and why their ability to achieve, even when assisted is still less than that if the Hispanics, whites and even Asians that whites are inferior too.
Because this is where were going. This sort of blatant racism disguised as intellectual discourse is bullshit and serves as nothing more than a divide and conquer strategy to tear this country apart.
It needs to be smacked down bluntly and deliberately - banned from twitter and Facebook and YouTube and then shunned into the darkness to which it belongs.
What you said. That is pretty much a liberal mindset.
Or, if the non-liberal offers some reasonable and logical input, the liberal will say, “We are done talking about this now, and don’t ever bring it up again.”
(At least that has been my personal experience.)
If the DDS ever had any credibility, they lost it here.
You got it! Divide and conquer has been the long-term strategy of the Progs and race is their weapon of choice. It would help a lot to de-fund universities where this witch's brew is distilled and dispensed to naïve young minds.
The only good thing about Duke is their basketball team, and they didn’t make it to the Final Four this year.
Its so laughably ridiculous
if someone commits a microaggression against a minority, like asking what basketball team they like, its a horrific offense
But when white people are told they are evil and responsible for everything wrong with the world, and they dont like it, that’s “white fragility”
Everything is racism
Except hating whitey
"We are all friends here, gathered to better understand and share the Word of Christ. Today, I'd like to discuss why you white people are having such difficulty acknowledging your despicable, hateful racism."
Seriously, white people . . . stop funding crap like this. If I was a Duke alum, I’d be furious. Call your development office and say NO MORE
I did this with my alma mater and they begged me to change my mind. Screw them, I’m done with you and hung up.
