Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is taking heat for allegedly telling staffers he would focus on “excellence” and finding the “best people” to work at the department, not “diversity.”
Zinke’s lack of concern over “diversity” at the Interior Department angered some staffers, who rushed to tell CNN. The news network on Monday ran with the chyron: “Zinke angers many by saying it’s more important to find best people; Dept denies.”
Each time Zinke was asked about diversity, he would respond, “what’s important is having the right person for the right job,” or “I care about excellence, and I’m going to get the best people, and you’ll find we have the most diverse group anyone’s ever had,” sources told CNN.
Zinke’s spokeswoman denied he made those comments, telling CNN “the anonymous claims made against the secretary are untrue.”

Maybe the next time I have a question for a government employee I should ask first if I am talking to a diversity hire... I’ve had some that made me more than suspicious. I’m also convinced that 99% of the solicitors who call are diversity hires or foreigners. I always ask for an American when I call a help desk.

WHY THE HULLABALOO OVER SAYING YOU WANT TO HIRE THE BEST PEOPLE? ARE CNN AND OTHERS SUGGESTING THAT MINORITIES CAN’T MAKE THE GRADE AS THE BEST POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES? WONDER WHOSE SHOWING THEIR BIAS NOW?
I look for the most qualified people no matter their skin color, religion, or gender.

I was watching CNN Crossfire about 30 years ago, where the topic was “are blacks getting too many opportunities in the military”. The panel on the left, a “civil rights” activist and a minister, said yes. The panel on the right, which consisted of Alan Keyes and Colonel Fred Cherry. The left did not stand a chance.
We need to turn “diversity” into a dirty word.
Sometimes it is better to say nothing and just do it.
“Diversity” = less republicans in positions of power, more rats. Plain and simple. It’s why it’s one of their major sacraments. Start firing every rat in the gubmint and see how fast the swamp gets drained.

Exactly right. The entire purpose of those who push the diversity crap is to split the country into warring factions. Just like the Democrats’ divide-and-conquer strategy of identity politics, the goal is to deconstruct and thereby destroy our Constitutional Republic. Truly evil people.

I look at diversity as a strategy like the Democrats’ identity politics, which is to trigger as many segments of society as they can into warring factions for the purpose of undermining our national unity and destroying our Constitutional Republic.
