As students across the country prepare to stage a national protest calling for gun control reform in the wake of school shootings, Parkland, Florida survivor David Hogg, 17, has declared this is the 'start of a revolution.'
Hogg talked to Good Morning America on Saturday morning about his goals for participating in the 'March For Our Lives' demonstration at its primary event in Washington, DC.
'Today we are going to start a revolution. This is the beginning of a lifelong marathon not only for me but for my generation,' Hogg told GMA.
'We are sick and tired of the inaction here in Washington and around the country at different state capitals and in different cities, of politicians that are owned by the NRA and not listening to the constituents of America.'
On Friday, Hogg used more forceful language, expressing his fatigue from advocacy, worries over relinquishing rights in favor of safety, and calling out what he referred to as 'old-a** parents' who 'don't know how to use a f***ing democracy.'
The student also criticized forthcoming security changes at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which he felt were infringements on First Amendment rights.

He acts like he’s a couple cans short of a six-pack, could be the NEXT shooter..
When I was a freshman in high school, my friend Rick ran for class president.
His platform?
Ill take a baseball bat to these seniors!
He won handily.
After the election, some of the senior boys caught him in the hallway and asked him where his bat was.
You never saw a guy eat his words so fast.
Rick went to the other high school the next year.
Its easy to run your mouth when youre young and the other young people will listen to you.
The right of self defense is a perfect right, which is derived from the natural right to life, which is derived from the natural duty of self preservation, which is derived from the higher law, which is derived from God. These can be violated by a tyrannical government, but they cannot be taken away. The people under a tyrannical government have the perfect right to overthrow it in order to reestablish their God given rights and duties.
Why don’t they their anger out on the shooter? He’s the one that did it and is still alive. Guess they don’t care about him.
Uh, where’s squire hogg’ pic? He seems to fit the mold.
Reminds me of one 4th of July in St. Louis on the riverfront when a swimmer kept climbing up onto the ski jump ramp before a waterskiing show after being told over and over again to stay off of it.
After they had had enough the waterski team hoisted the guy into one of their boats and took him over to the East St. Louis side where they stripped him to his underwear, took away his shoes, and left him to find his way through E St. Louis to a bridge and then back over the river on foot.
The moron doesn’t know that we are NOT a democracy. We are a constitutional republic.
A democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting what’s for dinner.
A constitutional republican is two wolves and sheep voting what’s for dinner, but the constitution says it ain’t the sheep and the sheep has a machine gun.
That kid needs a sock in the face, on TV, nationwide. Or maybe a pie.
There is no shortage of irony and lack of self-awareness on the left, that is for sure.
His 15 minutes of fame should be over by now.
Something tells me he should have felt a leather lash against his backside and didn’t.
A swimmer wearing underwear and shoes?
Millennisls will no longer be the most useless generation.
With the Hogg-Boy spouting off his vitriol about his worthless inept old asz parents and how useless they are. I think his parents better keep a gun or two around for this hate spouting Nazi youth brat. They might become his first casualties in the gen-z war the little boy wants to start,
That’s because that’s how they manufacture numbers. Every group under the prog umbrella supports every other group, even if they don’t agree with them, as long as it pushes forward the prog agenda. Occasionally those “intersections” are untenable, as in queers vs. muslims vs. jews, but mostly they pretend to agree with each other.
I must have missed the civics class where they taught that backpacks, freedom of the press and speech are the same thing. /S
It will be interesting to follow the career of David “Camera” Hogg. Will he mature into some obnoxious politician, flame out into ordinariness, or come to some weird inglorious end?
Yeah... Mississipi River, not professional swimmers. People got hot and just waded out into the river in tennis shoes. Then they saw the ramp and wanted to use it as an island so they swam out there.
Lots of stuff can cut bare feet in murky water.
Even in clear Ozark water people usually wear tennis shoes to swim because of sharp mussel shells and broken gravel.
