Shareholders...
Time to ditch your CEO. He’s trashing your company and not acting in your best interest
Assuming the drops have nothing to do with this is the height of idiocy and denial of reality.
I am in the market for some sporting goods, and will go into Dick’s only to view merchandise for real, and price shop
And waste their time
I won’t dare spend a dime
As long as they don’t discriminate against the LGBT, I guess it’s OK, but I will will not grace their doors.
dicks
The company name says it all...
Anything is right. It isn't just guns that won't be bought at Dick's. I've bought bowling and bicycle goods from them over the last couple years. I'll never buy any sports goods from them, ever again. They lost me as a customer. Feel like throwing my bowling ball through their window, but not spending my bucks there will hurt them more.
Dick’s are nothing but a bunch of pu$$ies.
A Dicks opened near me. I’ve been there 3 time. Grand daughter likes to run around inside. Over priced. Still have yet to buy anything there.
You reap what you sow.
A CEO has a fiduciary obligation to protect the corporation's fiscal stability. This is an open admission that he cares less about his obligations than he cares about appeasing the Screaming Leftists.
I will dance in the streets when Dick’s goes bankrupt.
So Cal had numerous sporting goods stores around 2012. Then Sports Authority declared bankruptcy in March 2016 after . Then Sports Chalet went out of business in May 2016.
When I asked the manager of a local Big 5 how he stayed open, he said, “By selling a lot of cheap shoes.”
Dick’s Sporting Goods. Too proud to take a hint.
Flaccid Dick’s, will they have to consider a merger with a pharmaceutical company to pump up the stock price?
Youre likely going to see firearms follow the trend of the cycling industry.
Specialized, Canondale, Trek and Giant dominate the market but dont sell in any national chains. They are the purview of local bike shops or corporate owned stores.
Places like Dicks, Wal Mart, Target etc. dont care about the quality of their product they want price point and profit margin.
Now we see that no national retailer cares about their hunting or sporting customers in the face of any controversy.
The sad part is the people that would protest them are likely not even going to buy their black hoodies, gloves and masks for their local Antifa window smashing events from Dicks. They have no idea just how stupid they are..
Also Mr. Stack is family of the founder and likely very difficult if not impossible to move. The way I read their stock owners report is that no one seemingly has more than 1-1.5% stake in the company and thats from the institutional sized investors.
It would take one huge consensus and a proxy battle to move their CEO and thats just not going to happen.
Easiest thing, dont buy them at all and move your money to your local gun dealerships/stores.
Dick is supposed to sell sporting goods including firearms of course, that’s their business (what their owners invested in them to do)
DIck is not supposed to be playing politics with the company or its assets (management time, etc)
We have now stopped patronize Dick
ps to Dicks ...you need to beef up your firearms department, too... it needs more pistols and better rifles... and better ammo for that matter, too. it is like a child’s store ... customer goes in and asks for any of 7 or 8 things... firearms and ammo alike....generally has to leave empty0=-handed due to the watered-down inventory. lots of rifles on display, almost none of which are of any interest except maybe for a cub scout training class
Is there a fund shorting these social justice warriors masquerading as CEOs?
I want in.
Moral of the Story: Don’t be a Dick.
It’s a revolution.
