Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown. In a morning tweet, Trump said he might veto the omnibus bill because it does nothing to address the fate of young undocumented immigrants known as dreamers and does not fully fund his border wall. But speaking to reporters at the White House about four hours later, Trump said he had decided to sign the bill despite his reservations, arguing that it provides much-needed funding for the military, including a pay increase for troops and new equipment.Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown.

Truer words never spoken.
Lol. Hannity received his talking points :-)
Oh look, your mama is calling you home for supper. Better run along now...........
How many accounts have you had here?
I believe you are right.

I think I’m getting too old for the shit shining you have to do around here on these newby turds. Just saying.
Keep at em. Youre doing a great job!!
It isn’t a losing battle. He sold out.
Thank you Jane. ;)
Yet, you still find something to bitch about.
Careful, everyone I’ve seen saying things like looks a lot like a never Trumper trying to pretend otherwise.
You sound completely clueless.
The problem has been greatly reduced because of Trump's efforts:

ICE deportation arrests soar under Trump administration, drop in border arrests
But, you still still have to have something to whine about. People like you are miserable. You're not happy unless you're unhappy.
What he said about DACA individuals specifically was that he'd repeal Obama's EO on DACA AND HE DID.
But, you haven't to have something to your knickers in a knot about it. You wouldn't be happy unless you're unhappy.
That’s baloney. Many times in the history of the Republic we have seen members of Congress change their votes from Yea to Nay on the veto override vote once they have had a chance to read the President’s objections and analyze the situation better.
What Trump should have done is said “there are some serious problems in this Bill which must be fixed so I am calling Congress to return right now into Session so we can get a weekend emergency continuing resolution passed/signed and then get back to work on a real plan that keeps our promises to the American people”
Honesty? Yeah, probably... right after he fires Mueller.
Nope, he said ALL illegals and DACA had to leave AND he would form a "Deportation Force" to remove them, he also said the 14th Amendment was being used in a flawed manner and should be "revisited"
You wouldn't be happy unless you're unhappy.
=================
I am unhappy when I see the country continue to decline under a President who was elected on promises he can't or doesn't have the balls, or will to deliver.
Your analysis is right and accurate. I agree completely.
I am sorry to say that all It takes for the base, is not so much the sense of betrayal they feel, but the appearance of weakness in a man they elected to be a fighter.
Trump had a choice, the veto. He could call the Congress back into session to pass one more Continuing Resolution. He then could do his best to renegotiate a replacement bill with the House GOP to fund the wall (huge symbol to the base) and defund Planned Parenthood.
Ultimately this would go to either a 51% reconciliation vote in the Senate or force a House/Senate Reciliation Committee. Let the Democrats dare to try to defund Defense with the mid-term elections 6 months away.
I am not prophet enough to know if this scenario would prevail, but this is the kind fight in Trump we expected and voted for. The President said he will not vote for such a bill again. This is insufficient. This bill precludes another funding bill for two years.
To retrieve his base the President must ACT soon in some way with the honesty, strength and intrepid courage his base thought they voted for in 2016. I want to vote for that man again. We need reassurance in action, and we need it now.
