Trump signs $1.3 trillion spending bill despite veto threat on Twitter
Washington Post ^ | March 23, 2018 | John Wagner and Mike DeBonis

Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown. In a morning tweet, Trump said he might veto the omnibus bill because it does nothing to address the fate of young undocumented immigrants known as “dreamers” and does not fully fund his border wall. But speaking to reporters at the White House about four hours later, Trump said he had decided to sign the bill despite his reservations, arguing that it provides much-needed funding for the military, including a pay increase for troops and new equipment.Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown.

. But we slashed the corporate rate for Facebook, Google, Twitter, and other Christian hating and conservative hating companies

He cut back corporate taxes for every corporation, giving those corporations more money to expand and create jobs. The lower corporate rate will also attract corporations and jobs to the US.

You're as dumb as liberal.

My husband and I sent emails and made phone calls to the White House which was busy every time we called. We wanted Pres Trump to veto the Omnibus bill for all of the reasons cited on many of these threads and replies. When Pres Trump signed the bill I felt like I did when Pres Bush fired Donald Rumsfeld from Secty of Defense post. A real punch in the gut feeling. Well, as the day went on and I had other things to do I kept wondering about the why of this seemingly unTrump action. Then I realized that all of this feeling from his supporters had to have been relayed to him and the huge disappointment the signing would be to them. Still he , obviously distressed that he was going against their wishes, signed this horrible bill. Which meant to me that he was doing what a leader does, forges ahead with his knowledge of a situation which cannot be revealed to his followers. Pres Trump has given me no reason to believe that his reason for seeking the presidency was anything other than patriotism and love of America. I hold the congress responsible for this bill and Pres Trump will turn their treachery against them as the occasion arises. I support Pres Trump and pray for the safety of him and his family.

POTUS Trump is probably wondering where the heck we are. Where is the Calvary??

Speaking of RINOs: Is McConnell only a “liar” when Ted Cruz runs for President? I ask because Saint Ted was quiet as a mouse as this storm brewed in the Senate.

The chances of confirming another solid justice after the Great Demoralization that he wrought today is just about zero.

Only conservative movement is the stupid movement like the Republican party is the stupid party.

Those with half a brain know that letting Dems win isn't the answer.

No border wall, and no defunding of sanctuary cities. Those who voted for our President have been disrespected bigly.

But hey, at least we’re funding yak herding in Tibet. And a border wall in Jordan.

And they raised taxes on individuals by capping or eliminating deductions to "pay for it." Their own words, not mine.

You're as dumb as liberal.

Gee, thanks for the personal attack there Kazan.

Nice.

You only demeaned yourself here with that comment.

Trump is using DACA to try to get funding for the wall and worked hard to get an Obamacare repeal passed that included the de-funding of PP.
===================

Trump said repeatedly during the campaign that the DACA's had to leave the country, repeatedly. Shall I post the clips of his rallies? Everybody who paid attention knows this. Now he loves DACA's. Give me a break!

As for PP it's still gets funding and Obamacare is still on the books. Trump needs to up his game because this country is out of chances. Trump was our last chance, now he's blowing it.

Here's what's been accomplished under Trump. Tell us what you don't like about:

It is never just about the parts I like, it is the parts that negate the parts I like that concern me.

Uncontrolled immigration continues and The President is unwilling to use the laws available to quench it. If you think the Republic will continue when we have a majority Hispanic population you are just deluded. South America has always had a Hispanic majority and nothing in South America even comes close to resembling a democratic republic, heck even the US doesn't resemble one anymore.

Trump did not join the swamp.

Trump is outnumbered by the swamp.

Don't forget the cult of Palin.

Palin never claimed to have super secret, super genius plans and I am pretty sure she didn't play 4 D chess.

I’d rather be the polisher than the POLISHED, like you.

That’s good because you will always have work, whether you are paid or not.

Am I living in some alternate universe?

I’m watching Hannity, and he spent the first fifteen minutes of his show recounting Bill Clinton’s sex scandals. Not a word about the spending bill. Not a word about Trump alienating his base. He then moved on to a story about “Trump’s accomplishments.”

Click.

Oh really? You were here long before me? Maybe you better check your math. Unless you want to admit to being a shape shifting shill that was kicked off prior to 2004. If not, then you are a liar because everyone can see everyone’s date when they joined. Or don’t you know that, Newby?
