German economic advisors raise growth forecast, warn of increased risks

BERLIN (Reuters) - The panel of economic advisers to the German government slightly raised its growth forecast for Europe’s largest economy on Wednesday but warned that a spiral of protectionist measures could damage the robust upswing.

... “Huge income tax reductions in the USA and the robust economic upturn in the euro zone are boosting demand for German goods and services,” Ifo said on Wednesday.

Given that the U.S. is a market for just 5% of Germany’s steel exports, the self-destructive steel tariffs recently announced by the U.S. administration appear unlikely to have a significant impact on the German economy in the near term.

I been watching this economic boom all around me. When we first moved to Stralau the place was an old industry polluted swamp. Since then the land has been cleared and built up to incredible proportions with fancy modern buildings.

Now plans are for building an Aquarium three blocks from us and a five story building including a food supermarket two blocks away. Finally a supermarket.

In the case of Germany there are many Europeans (Spaniards, Italians, etc) moving to Germany that balance out the Muslim growth. I believe once tech makes a spoken language translator that people can wear and eliminates the language barrier, the level of immigration will climb even more dramatically.

Sorry to those ranting about Islam overrunning Germany. It’s not happening. But good luck with that DACA thing.
