President Donald Trump was infuriated after it quickly leaked that he had been directly instructed by his national security advisers in briefing materials not to congratulate Russian President Vladimir Putin on his recent election victory during their call Tuesday morning,

Incidentally, I left out two key words in my #59.
I meant that the principle of not meddling, in no way requires one to ignore normal courtesies between heads of state.
Did POTUS Trump tell Putin he would be more flexible in reducing our Nuclear Deterrent Capability?
.
Just the fact that he is an antisemite is sufficient to send him packing.
This is so bogus—Obama congratulated Putin in 2012.
No, Trump can’t afford to keep as many enemies close as he’s had in the past year.
That is a large part of why the likes of McMaster and Tillerson have/had to go.
He doesnt really need advisors at all.
Agreed, real leak, fake content.
The leakers and complicit media will be revealed
Keep ignoring CNN and eventually they will go away ... via bankruptcy.
Off topic but everyone can help CNN tank. Half of their revenue is cable subscriber fees. Cut the cable tv, cut CNN’s revenue in half.
That’s been the socialist-democrats plan all along.
They’ve been picking off members of President Trump’s inner circle for well over a year in an attempt to isolate him and make him a lame duck pariah.
And there’s plenty of republicans in on the plan too.
So when I see ANYTHING from the MSM propaganda wing posted here on FR, my first thought is “leftist propaganda bullshit”, followed by “socialist-democrat-RINO hit piece smear job.”
And yes, +95% of the media is lying to your face, all day, every day.
Was there MSM handwringing and concern in 2012 when bambi called to congratulate Putin ?
From the Counterfeit News Network? Oh, ok!
“The President has every right to be furious over this.”
I agree. Someone else in the administration needs to be fired. Someone is not serving the best interests of the President with this leaking.
CNN, the National Enquirer of cable network news.
The NSC's budget is relatively small. To fill the gap, lots of staffing consists of temporary "details" from the State Dept., and the intelligence community. That a staffer, detailed from an anti-Trump Federal Government bureaucracy, would leak some possibly embarrassing details to the press is not surprising. How POTUS Trump plugs these leaks will be "interesting."
McMaster? He was given the word on Monday, IIRC.
I believe Trump wants this known and out there.
It’s so destructive to our society when the media is so crooked that one cannot tell if an event they describe really happened or not. Personally, I see no reason why President Trump couldn’t extend a simply courtesy to Putin.
If it is true that he was advised against it, and the security briefing was leaked to the press, the leaker needs to be outed and canned — and possibly charged.
