Amid recent chatter that Trump could fire special counsel Robert Mueller, Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) both suggested Tuesday that if the president took that step, impeachment would be the appropriate response.
Graham and Flakes commitments to this position were hardly rock-solid and may well not be shared by very many other Republicans in the Senate (or the House of Representatives, which is where the impeachment process would have to begin). Still, the statements are a significant warning to Trump from two members of his own party about how Muellers dismissal could end for him.
First, when asked by radio host Hugh Hewitt Tuesday morning if firing Mueller would be an impeachable offense, Graham responded, Probably so, if he did it without cause.

Yeah, you may be right. Forgot about the Never Trump Bunch - such as Lindsay Graham.
But the Senate doesnt impeach. The House does.
Youre right. The House impeaches, takes simple majority, think grand jury. If this hurdle is cleared, case goes to Senate for trial, think of Senate as jurists, takes two thirds majority to convict, 67 yes votes.
Correct.
The Pax Americana is unsustainable, so too is the trajectory of its spending and debt, and the U.S. Government is fundamentally corrupt.
The day of reckoning is coming. It's only a question of when.
Flake & Graham the Cookie Boys ,LOL
It’s a lot more states than that.
We need new GOP senators.
Flake, Corker, Hatch, Heller, Alexander, Graham, McCain, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Cochran, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Ernst, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Thune, Gaines, Barasso and Enzi are all Bush League Republicans hell bent on making America into North Mexico
Misleading headline...it said Republican Senators.
Nothing new here, along with McCain, and the two women, they always vote 100% with Dems on every important bill.
BUT the Senate finds guilty in the impeachment trial held in the Senate
I agree with the sense of your post, but your example is wrong.
The Radical Republicans who controlled Congress in 1867 passed the Tenure of Office Act which required Senate agreement to dismiss any official whose appointment had required Senate confirmation.
Andrew Johnson believed the Act to be unconstitutional, and he was impeached for violating it by removing Edwin Stanton as Secretary of War and sending a replacement to the Senate for confirmation.
Two of the most egregious morons in the Senate. They are straight-out traitors and should be censored. They should be thrown off whatever committees they sit on and tossed out the door. The taxpayers deserve a heck of a lot more for their money than these two fools, always making trouble and doing nothing whatsoever useful for the American people.
Don’t forget their leader the Turtle.........so many disgusting Pubs up there!!
How about a poll of Republican voters to see who they would dispatch Flake & Graham?
Flake and Graham are why people hate the GOP.
The Act was unconstitutional. I don’t know if it was ever decided one way or another in the USSC but it seems patently uncon.
Politically speaking, Trump can not fire Muller, not without full throated support from Congress coming out on his side, howling for a second Special Counsel, and also hammering the JD to bring a conclusion to this field mouse investigation, by Muller. The midterms matter.
I quite agree the RINOS want Trump gone, as well. He is in their way. The people have a role in the outcomes of elections and the future of Trump and his agenda. Heard on Lou Dobbbs that Paul Ryans polling at 23, not but a few points above Pelosi.
Never-Trumpers and dimmocrats have found a very useful tool in Mueller to slow down Trump. Globalism & open borders must be protected. Both Flake & Graham are for open borders.
I DID state that Flake & Graham are "two of the most egregious morons in the Senate". I did NOT say that they were the only ones!
I know that but when any anti Trump, establishments are mentioned I think of the Turtle. Damn how I hate those people!!
