Its huuge! Its serious! Its a plot! Its a collusion!
Talk of a future meeting also in the works.76
And I’m looking forward to working with you ... if Trump said this liberal heads would explode though it is entirely a diplomatic thing innocent thing to say
Trump does this on purpose and sits back and laughs at them.
So do I!
Every other world leader called Putin also....Merkel, Macron...etc etc
“US President Donald Trump has congratulated his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on his win in the presidential election”
But WHICH election?
It’s customary...and that’s the way it is.
Yup, even the dooshbag EU bureaucrats congratulated Pootie.
Id rather have Putin than the Godless Commie he was running against.
Putin is the first Russian leader to be a Christin since the Tsars. Putin respects the concept of the nation state and respects the decency and dignity of the Tsars
Just pullin some pansy a$$ chains.
The complaints, coming from the same people who gave us the Reset Button, make my blood boil.
McCain has issued some psychotic tirade against this.
I have a very hard time believing a career KGB operative has found religion. In Russian history pre Revolution the Russian Orthodox Church was hand in hand with the Czars. The Church always saw Russia as the Third Roman Empire. Putin sees the Church as an ally in Russian imperialism and himself as a new Czar, in the same way Stalin was a Czar and the CPSU his church.
Putin’s formative years were spent as a KGB officer in Dresden in what was then Communist East Germany. Moscow did nothing to help its ally and it left profoundly disillusioned in a system and a country for which he gave his service.
From that point on he turned his back on Communism and the rest is history. Putin wants to see Russia respected as a Great Power but beyond that he wants to see Russians gain a better life. For obvious reasons, this is likely to be his last term in office and he wants to go out on a high note.
Well 20 years of Putin later and Russia is backsliding again and losing ground in every sphere of society with the exception of agriculture maybe.
Oil/Energy owned by the oligarchs. Prices not as good as early 00’s.
But of course: things could always be worse!
The country has a lot of issues to tackle: education, healthcare, income inequality and poverty.
And its hard to see the government tackling these problems in a short time even if the President uses his clout to make them happen.
To realize that, Russia needs to reduce tensions with the West. For now, that’s a tall order.
One thing that the socialist-democrats are too dense to figure out is that President Trump is a master at pushing people’s buttons to achieve a desired effect. The idea is to make a person’s emotions take over their rational thinking. Once you do do that, you can easily tear them down.
But then again, people on the left side of the spectrum aren’t really good at rational thought in the first place.
Trump will save Russia before any Russian does. Reagan may have meant well but by the time USSR fell apart, Papa Bush was president and people were in way over their heads during the 90s.
But with Trump as president, Russia might be able to emerge an actual free country this time. The question is: what ridiculous antics is Putin willing to pull in the meantime, how compromising is he going to be? Esp with regard to Ukraine and such.
Because America is ultimately in charge whether he likes it or not.
Russians are lucky...the whole world quite frankly is lucky to have Trump at the helm.
Journalists are assassinated. An economy smaller than Canada. Oligarchs rule with tribute to Putin. They need to change or they will never develop.
Increasingly the public is seeing that as well. All the media is doing at this point is burning whatever shreds of credibility they have left with the average American.
