A former Obama campaign official is claiming that Facebook knowingly allowed them to mine massive amounts of Facebook data — more than they would’ve allowed someone else to do — because they were supportive of the campaign.
In a Sunday tweet thread, Carol Davidson, former director of integration and media analytics for Obama for America, said the 2012 campaign led Facebook to “suck out the whole social graph” and target potential voters. They would then use that data to do things like append their email lists.
When Facebook found out what they were doing, they were “surprised,” she said. But she also claimed they didn’t stop them once they found out:
“They came to office in the days following election recruiting & were very candid that they allowed us to do things they wouldn’t have allowed someone else to do because they were on our side,” Davidson tweeted.
"I am also 100% positive that Facebook activity recruits and staffs people that are on the other side."

Facebook is nothing more than a data collection agency. They serve as the same function that IBM served the Nazis in the thirties.
FaceBook stock is tanking today and shaking the confidence game that is the stock market.
Facebook would have very useful to the Nazis. Especially in running down Jews. Your are right in your assessment. Facebook has tremendous power over people. One diffrence, though is that they give up their privacy willingly when they download the app. I got off all of the social media a while back because of it. I would rather control my data than put it out over the net where I don’t know where it goes.

I believe this is true, and there needs to be a Federal Hammer dropped on Facebook for illegal election tampering.
We need to start imprisoning people who tamper with elections, either through data mining, misuse of public airwaves, or any other method they use to manipulate elections.
I suggest this is a massive in-kind donation, which probably exceeds campaign finance donation limits, and for which proper reporting was not done.
Nothing like stating the obvious. After all if you stated a conservative view they closed your account.
Facebook replaced Equifax in numerous cases providing INFO to insurers like auto and homeowners.
And, in response, gas went up 6 cents/gallon during the day in southcentral PA.
