A high school student in Hilliard, Ohio, didnt want to pick sides in the contentious gun debate surrounding Wednesdays National Walkout, so he stayed in class instead of joining the largely anti-gun protest or an alternative study hall.
Hilliard Davidson High School senior Jacob Shoemaker was then reportedly slapped with a suspension.

But, you say, we destroy the most hallowed of relations, when we replace home education by social.
And your education! Is not that also social, and determined by the social conditions under which you educate, by the intervention direct or indirect, of society, by means of schools, etc? The Communists have not invented the intervention of society in education; they do but seek to alter the character of that intervention, and to rescue education from the influence of the ruling class.
The bourgeois clap-trap about the family and education, about the hallowed co-relation of parents and child, becomes all the more disgusting, the more, by the action of Modern Industry, all the family ties among the proletarians are torn asunder, and their children transformed into simple articles of commerce and instruments of labour.
Bingo!
Teach you children to be subtle subversives.
Teach them that the State watches all, and it is controlled by those who hate you.
Night is falling.
And that is why they will win the lawsuit.
Insurance mandates that a teacher be present if a student is in the classroom.
So I would suggest the student look at a civil suit instead, and his parents prepare to leave Ohio.
The bigger question is, why were the students at the high school REQUIRED to participate in the Anti-Second Amendment protest?
Communism rides on the back of a decaying, once highly Christian or at least Christian ideal honoring, society. This is how they get away with hooting at the “bourgeois” then peddling their human ruled answer.
In this case it’s the “gun bourgeois” or rednecks getting hooted at.
It should be mandatory viewing by every high school student, everywhere.
Suppose this chap went out there but waved a pro-2A sign? Could they legally touch him for that?
I hope the teacher gets stabbed.
Volcano Vista High School in Albuquerque forced kids to participate in the walkout by having an official fire drill at that time.
This forced the kids not only to walk out, but to go to the designated assembly area. The the speeches, balloon releasing, and forced silence began.
It says there was an alternative study hall. If he declined the alternative choice, then he might be in trouble.
Yeah... Could be if that’s real
He’ll be hanged in effigy
“Suppose this chap went out there but waved a pro-2A sign? Could they legally touch him for that?”
That chap said that he did not want to take sides.
More importantly:
What is the culture of that high school if all but one of their students participated in the Anti-Second Amendment protest?
That would mean that 99.9% of high school kids oppose the Second Amendment.
As a follow up, fighting this type of thing is really the job of the ALCU, is it not?
They’ve been derelict in their duties for a long, long time.
NEA / Democrat Party agenda bump for later...
Hilliard Davidson High School, now a.k.a Kim Jong Un High School.
Why were there no teachers in the classrooms on that day? I thought they had a job to fulfill.
Could it be that this was not a student walkout, but a teacher walkout under the order of the Teachers Union?
Does the Union have permission from the parents to borrow their children?
Did they ask?
I believe the students were entrusted to the School for teaching, not the Unions. Does the Union carry liability insurance for injury for the children on an unsanctioned protest line?
This “Student” walkout is a serious multiple Felony issue.
Its one thing if kids walk out of school of their own violation, quite another if they are taken off campus without parental permission for a non school purpose by a third party.
The Teachers Union must be brought to court for criminal proceedings and disbanded immediately.
Yankees...
Well not all I guess
In rural Nashville area the walkout attendance was very low
30 out of 2400
In Antioch a black Latino and Kurdish part of Nashville proper blacks of course walked out and promptly mini rioted
So these walkouts weren’t organized and sanctioned by the school system?
