Flake: 'My party might not deserve to lead'

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) hit the Republican Party on Thursday for its support of President Trump, saying the party may not deserve to lead.
"If we are going to cloister ourselves in the alternative truth of an erratic leader, if we are going to refuse to live in the world that everyone else lives in and reckon with the daily reality that they face including the very real anxiety that they feel, then my party might not deserve to lead," Flake said in an address at the National Press Club.

If we are going to cloister ourselves in the alternative truth of an erratic leader, Is that what is happening, Jeff? By most objective measures, Trump is running an administration that is more conservative than any since Ronald Reagan. Flake allegedly, or at least use to be, a conservative. But Trump says mean things and Trump picks fights with senators and that is all that matters to Jeff now that he's gazed into the eyes of the Washington media for too long.
