The kids would be ridiculed for it. It will probably cost them a grade for the day. But they should expect that. The "protestors" yesterday for the most part demanded to assert their "right" to break school policy and to get away with it.
Gandhi and King knew: protesting more often than not entails paying a price. If the cause is just, the price will be paid. The insults will be endured. Quietly, and without apology. And also without surrender.
Are there students who would do such a thing? I believe there are.
They are the hope for the future of America. Not Boss Hogg or whoever.

It should happen. So what if the schools expel every one of the kids, as they certainly will. So what if the administrators have the organizers arrested.

Saw an article on Yahoo that talked about a teacher that was suspended for suggesting the same thing.
