Okay, valid point there. Most of them have sucked, including the ones appointed by "conservative" Presidents. Was GHWB's guy James Baker any good? I was too young at the time to pay attention to politics.
John Bolton would have been ideal the SOS for Trump, IMO. Tillerson was an awful pick and I said so at the time. I wouldn't have given him the benefit of the doubt, the guy's background gave me serious pause, he had "weasel" written all over him whenever he commented, and I would have voted against the confirmation if I were a Senator.
More controversial, I stand by my opposition to "conservative home run picks" Betsy DeVos and Neal Gorsuch too.
Baker is an Arabist. Probably an anti-Semite, so that answers your question.
If Maxime Bernier had been elected Leader I would be more optimistic about Tory prospects in Quebec.
Where they are polling now is not good enough for any kind of significant gain, and they lost a QB seat in a by-election.
Ontario is where the lion’s share of potential gains will have to come from. The PCs are poised to win the provincial election (though they’ve blown it before), Rob Ford is the new leader there, he beat some “moderate” lady.
Oops, wrong thread for the Canada stuff, don’t have more than 1 window open fellas. ;)
You’re an island about Gorsuch, I pray to God you’re way off base.
