Former GOP California governor and global warming activist Arnold Schwarzenegger came under fire for his near-daily private jet commute from his Brentwood home to the governors mansion in Sacramento. The governors Gulf-stream jet does nearly as much damage to the environment in one hour as a small car does in a year, the Los Angeles Times reported in 2008. But not to worry, because Schwarzenegger is well aware of this and makes amends by purchasing pollution credits for the carbon dioxide his jet releases.
“Annd the Hummers he used to drive & promote.”
Well, he was on Jay Leno’s Garage a few weeks ago and took Jay for a spin in his all-electric Hummer, if you’re talking about cars and not the “hummers” he was getting from his Mexican maid, which brought the world “Little Arnoldito.”
Where does the money go from purchasing these carbon credits? Al Gore?
And what exactly are these "carbon credits" and what do they actually do?
Who determines how many credits you need to buy to assuage your guilt of all the pollution you are creating?
Is there a bank for trading these credits? Are they bits of paper or plastic or just digital tracks on the internet.
How do you buy the credits, with cash or credit card?
And finally, who is getting fabulously wealthy off of this scam?
I never bought carbon credits.
I live at the beach, have not run air conditioning in 30 years, wanna buy some?
Seems I remember hearing a while back that Al Gore had setup an exchange for these types of transactions.
But another hypocritical moment here should be for the left to worry about the unfairness of it all. Isnt it terrible that poor women and children cant afford these carbon credits and therefore cannot take part in this luxury of energy extravagance? Like the minimum wage, shouldnt congress vote to offer free carbon credits for the less fortunate and dispossessed?
Inquiring minds want to know...

Global Warming on Free Republic here, here and here
I’m sure it’s already been brought up in the thread, but this is just like buying indulgences from the Catholic Church back in the day.
Who says global warming is bad in the first place???
