Ok folks, a little bit different than what you are use to, however here goes. Be careful, being a foreign source (language), much more difficult to validate

This is an article from South Korea media. It is an very important message regarding the North Korean talks and future.Where is our media? /s /r

Kim Jong-un's desires US Embassy in Pyongyang

Exerpted remarks include:

1. What does that mean? That means NK wants a peace treaty and that's why KJU said, "We need some warranty: we need assurance of regime preservation and safety from our counterpart (US)." So NK wants to not only remove accumulated UNSCR sanctions but wants full diplomatic relations.

2. That could set separate agendas for the 2 summits taking place in April & May: for the US-NK summit, security and military-related issues will be on the table: denuclearization & peace negotiations. For the SK-NK summit, relaxing tensions, separate families, cultural exchanges

3. Per SK insider, "KJU wants firm US pledge of peace and 'regime preservation' is key consideration." That's what's being asked for the offer of "apparent denuclearization" on the part of NK. KJU also voluntarily described NK as a "poor country."

4. NK watchers are still skeptical. But some believe NK does not see nukes & missiles as ends in themselves but as currencies to trade for things like security guarantees, economic aid and even diplomacy: "It could be a long-term strategic move on the part of KJU," who's still young

5. Obviously one strong factor in the decision is the economic squeeze wrought by continuing sanctions. They may be beginning to shake the faith of KWP and military elites and could widen to regular Pyongyangites. "He probably saw there're limits to what he can do with nukes"

6. Some thought the special message was regarding 3 US hostages or KJU's promise to not to develop ICMBs which could target continental US. But ICBMs will be part of denuclearization talks and the hostages may be offered by NK as a "gift" to US during talks.

7. Moon's handlers reassure Japan-Russia-China. "After we establish a 'peaceful order' on Korean peninsula, others will follow: NK-Japan diplomatic relations that will solve abductee issues." There will be no "Japan-China passing." That's why Chung & Suh are going to those countries

8.In any case that was apparently why Trump was so enthusiastic. He was convinced by these 2 SK envoys (Suh and Chung) that NK has a long-term vision laid out and that vision involves economic development and disarmament, if a pledge of "regime preservation" can be guaranteed by US

Are human rights going to be part of the deal? If not, then no way.

We have an embassy in Cuba, so we can have one in N. Korea, if that will keep them from launching a nuke to the US,

How about a consulate? No way Trump wants to spend a hundred million for a building in North Korea. And why? For expats and tourists? lol

Something happened a few months ago that changed everything.

Remember back in October when 200 workers were killed in North Korea in a "mining accident"?

Perhaps it was a U.S. military attack that took out most of the nuclear bomb infrastructure. Now Kim is running scared and looking to at least preserve his position of power with the NK people and is willing to deal away his nuclear capability in order to do so.

How about NK agrees to reunite with SK and there’s no need for a new embassy.

Did Cuba cause hearing loss and brain damage in diplomats? Why would we expect better treatment from the Norks?

“North Korea” as an entity must end. There must be reunification, and Kim should be bought off with massive land and wealth transfer to effectuate it. Heck, give him 1% of Samsung and Hyundai too...the savings will be worth far more to the South.

Maybe we can settle the Korean War while we are at it - there has been an armistice since 1953.

The biggest fear of the media is Trump overseeing the signing of a peace treaty between North and South Korea, in the rose garden.

The biggest enemy of the American people is the occupation media followed by North Korea and Iran.

heh heh heh.... He don’t know, he don’t know....

Starts with an embassy, moves to USAID, ends with Senor Frogs and American middle age women tourists complaining about the hotels within 15 years.

NK is asking for nothing less than the success of its nulcear blackmail via “diplomacy”.

Trump would be wrong to give it either an American embassy or any U.S. pledge to “preserve” the regime in North Korea. Other’s, Iran, will learn they can take diplomacy with U.S. hostage with nuclear arms, until the U.S. gives in to demands for “peace” on THEIR terms.

The U.S. position should be:

When North Korean nuclearization is an internationally verifiable, indisputable and transparent fact other things can be put on the negotiation table. Until then, the state of relations cannot be improved in any way.
