OK Sessions, time to step in and do your damn job.
Is gun confiscation not unconstitutional per the 2nd Amendment? Where does it state in that document that citizens who made LEGAL PURCHASES can no longer own or possess gun? Am I missing something?

For the good of the Fatherland an unarmed population is safer for the government as an armed citizenry.

Sounds like a ex post facto law. Not that such a detail would deter the Illinois legislature or law enforcement... Right. Let's see what SCOTUS has to say when it inevitably arrives.

From Law abiding Citizens and leave the Weapons in the hands of the Killers ,yep sounds like Democrats

The criminals will invade the homes of clean cut young people to rob, rape, torture and murder them with the government's assurance that they are not armed.

"Right. Let's see what SCOTUS has to say when it inevitably arrives."
That's true, but more legislation will fix that problem, too. See my last comment just before this one. And on the 18-20 controversy, some states keep it legal for residents to transfer firearms between them, and everyone is getting insured. The effect has been amazing, with a more nice, peaceful and even more charitable social environment.

I don’t understand the ownership transfer statement. I have nothing that says I own my firearms. Of course I bought them but now possession is ownership at least where I reside. Comments?

I dont understand the ownership transfer statement.Anyone questions ownership, just tell them yours is engraved in tiny writing on the bullet in the chamber and to look closely.
Confiscation will provide the “standing” needed for the case to go all the way to SCOTUS. There will be harm and loss upon the individual not having engaged in any previous illegal act. Cannot create the circular logic law that makes someone a felon out of thin air just so you can argue that felons are not to be in possession of a firearms.

Cannot create the circular logic law that makes someone a felon out of thin air just so you can argue that felons are not to be in possession of a firearms. There needs to be felony punishment for every representative that votes in favor of any law that is later determined by SCOTUS as unconstitutional. Felony arrest, trial, conviction, then prison and fine.

I hate being this cynical but this may be good, because it will push even more people (including democrats who support gun rights) to the right side. I live in Illinois. I'm going to tell you point blank Democrats almost across the board support this. To hear Democrats talk here, this is the first step to disarming everyone in this state.
I expect the lawsuits to be filed no later than end of day Wednesday, March 14th to shut this down. Illinois is one of the 19 states that prohibits discrimination of any kind, including age and that's going to be this state's undoing here.
It'll be fun to watch.

I also think this is unconstitutional. The NRA is already on the job in Florida, and I’m sure they’ll just scratch out Florida and write in Illinois and re-file it there.
