The Yountville Veteran's home is the largest veterans home in the US. Some 1,000 aged or disabled veterans (both men and women) or World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom now live at the home.

Undoubtedly involving an AR-15 per the approved and painstakingly rehearsed Big Government script.

Been through Yountville many times. Had no idea the largest veterans home in the US was there! Prayers up for them.
To: MeganC
If anyone’s wondering, Yountville is in “Wine Country,” not far north of San Francisco and fairly close to the city of Napa. This is an area of vineyards, wineries, restaurants, and the like, and if you’ve gone far enough north into the valley, you may have passed by the area.

I visit the California Veterans Home in Chula Vista, CA. I love going over there and having lunch with those guys. There are a lot of World War II vets there. Real heroes. What could possibly be worse than shooting up a veterans home?

I thought California had strict gun laws??
These shooters must be unaware of them, because they clearly wouldn’t be committing these acts if they were.

Arm all the vets no matter where they are.
Arm all the teachers no matter where they are.

Wait, the Deep State made a mistake. They were supposed to target another school. A preschool would have been ideal.

The gunman slipped into a fundraiser for the nonprofit Pathway Home, a privately run program on the veteran home’s grounds. The Pathway Home treats veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars who have post-traumatic stress disorder.
The three hostages are all Pathway House employees
The LEO on the scene said they know who the gunman is, but aren’t releasing his identity at this time.

I am not up to speed on this matter, and I am not a veteran, but I talked to a good friend of mine tonight (who is a veteran here in CA), and he said this was one of, if not the only STATE-RUN Veterans’ homes...therefore, no one was allowed to be armed according to CA law.
When I saw earlier that CHP was handling the matter, I wondered why, and when my friend mentioned the above it made sense as CHP has jurisdiction over all State buildings.
Just FYI, to hopefully add info to the discussion. Have been out of the news loop pretty much all evening.

The gunman is dead and at least two of the hostages are dead.
