Business leaders from nearly every American industry are furious with President Trump right now.
Theyve been pressuring his administration to back off from its plan to add steep tariffs on importedsteel and aluminum, which are used to make everything from cars to boats and even soup cans.
But the president has waved off their concerns. On Thursday afternoon, Trump is expected to sign an order directing the Commerce Department to add the 25 percent levy on steel and the 10 percent levy on aluminum. He did say, however, that his administration will exempt Canada and Mexico from the tariffs for a while.
The US steel industry is quite happy about the tariffs.
Almost everyone else is upset.

Navarro, Trumps trade guy, mentioned the other day that the aluminum used in a six pack of beer will raise the cost one and a half-cents per six pack. Big deal.
A $330 million Boeing 777 Dreamliner will cost an extra $25,000.
A $25,000 - $30,000 U.S. manufactured auto or SUV will cost an additional $125.
As Nancy would say, the above extra costs are just crumbs!
Unfortunately you can never be sure that the pet food, packaged in the U.S., will be labeled with food country of origin. That should be a serious crime.

Can you imagine how well we would have responded to Hitler in WW2 with no steel of our own?? Tell the whiners to think about that. (chuckle)
“Journalism is not a profession or a trade. It is a cheap catch-all for f**koffs and misfitsa false doorway to the backside of life, a filthy piss-ridden little hole nailed off by the building inspector, but just deep enough for a wino to curl up from the sidewalk and masturbate like a chimp in a zoo-cage.”

MSN had a poll on its homepage which was pulled quickly.
“Do you support the Tariff’s?” 57% Yes
It wasn’t even that huge an affair though. Is China that much on the edge?
Yes.

Sounds like he had a bad experience huh.
15 freaking years ago, or so, Tom Clancy, in one of his novels, introduced me to the concept of Temporal Reciprocity, related to tarrifs. Simple concept, even idiots can understand it... Just apply exactly the same tarrifs on the offending country for the same or similar products. No thinking required whatsoever.
It's mind-boggling that neither Trump, nor any of his dozens of "expert advisors," thought to mention the concept until the last couple of days!!
The moron self-serving objectors from whatever source can't open their greedy hypocritical yaps!
The most outrageous items worldwide, is the export of U.S. branded manufactured vehicles.
All European cars or other vehicles will ***t bricks!! WTF???
That had the melamine in it. People were kidding about how that should have been what the pet food dishes were made of. It was to cheat a protein test. Didn’t China hang a businessman over that though?
I don't know the answer to that. But I did read that the UK might strike back with tariffs on jeans and bourbon.
I couldn’t care less about what a journalists says, reports, thinks or even if they suddenly all stop breathing.

I am smiling because I bought the Corvette and not the Porsche. LOL
Let GB pick their own cotton...
I have tried buying chinese manufactured stainless steel items, or American manufactured items made with Chinese “stainless” steel, which was actually stainless...
I mfg. Stainless steel baffles for the mfg. of heat exchangers and my customers require certs for every piece to make sure I never use Chinese Stainless.
I find this so funny. If you do the math according to our sec. of commerce, it turns out for a break even on the average price of a car at $35K, the average increase due to the tariff is going to be a whopping $175.
And according to CBS, when you consider a worker claiming married status and two withholding allowances, with gross annual income of $75,000 paid biweekly, net take home pay would increase by about $61 per pay period, or approximately $1,590 per year. That means with the “dreaded” Trump tax cuts, he will make over 3 times the increase of the car due to the tariff in a year, or once every four months.
I don’t see the problem. And the other 8 months he’ll be able to afford a whole lot more gas.

Yeah, foreigners and traitors don’t like fair trade. Too bad. We don’t care.
This a media/globalist talking point. The dishonest fake news have done no research and have adopted the globalist talking points.
