The man in the middle of the Megan Barry scandal pleaded guilty in Davidson County Court Tuesday morning.
In a negotiated plea agreement Robert Forrest pleaded to theft of property over $10,000.
He got 3 years probation and will have to reimburse Metro Nashville $45,000 that was paid as salary and overtime when he was not performing his official duties as Mayor Barrys chief security officer.
Barry admitted to having a two year affair with Forrest.
Forrests wife, Penny, has filed for divorce.
This is a follow-up to a post earlier today on the mayor Megan Barry's resignation.

Now that I understand what the article is about, it is very informative.
When I first read the headline, I thought it was going to be about Bath House Barry, the ex-resident.
Servicing the mayor is not an official duty?
me too
From the looks of her, he should have been paid triple time with Hazard pay on top of it.
Daaaaaaaaaaaam!
LOL! Thanks for posting “These two:” He stole her jewels? /s
Now they can see other all they want!
I think she’s kinda good looking. For a sleazy dem home wrecker.
So, did he plead to a Felony charge, get probation and have to pay back the city? Was he able to retire before the trial, so he can still collect his pension?
I looked online for the answer to your question. Yes, he was able to retire before the trial, so he can still collect his pension. He retired on 1/31/18.
From the Tennessean.com:
He earned over $170,000 in overtime pay during Barry's time in office, more than the combined amount of the other officers on the security detail.
Forrest is slated to get a $6,691 monthly pension, or $80,303 a year an amount which increased substantially because of the overtime he was paid, Metro Nashville records show.
If any of the ongoing investigations reveal he collected overtime improperly, then Forrest's pension may be reduced, according to Mark Young, a member of the Metro Employee Benefits Board and the president of the Nashville Fire Fighters Association, the local union.

Since he just pled guilty to theft, I hope that would mean his inflated pension would be reduced by the amount of the theft. However, I would not take it for granted that will be the case.
FTA:Official court documents also say Forrest will be permitted to carry a firearm, given that he is a retired police officer.”
Great to be a DemonShit felon. Ordinary law for everybody else just doesn’t apply.
He was overheard telling his lawyer in court:
“I never knew sex could be like this.”

Hmmm...well, there's been times I would have paid it, and other times you couldn't have paid me.
Maybe she has a special “talent?”
I wonder if the body camera evidence was good enough to prompt the guilty plea?
And, now he is a, Convicted Felon, for the rest of his life. No more guns for him. And any job he applies for, from this point on, he has to check those little boxes, acknowledging his arrest and conviction. Too bad, so dad.
And I hope that the people out there don’t get too unraveled over his pension. His, soon-to-be ExWife, is probably going to get half of it, at least. And the house and the cars, and everything else. And, since he’s now a, convicted felon, any work he may have been able to slide into, post retirement, is going to dry up, fast. He’s going to experienced a lot of unanswered phone calls, texts, emails, and have quite a few doors slam in his face.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but the law seems pretty clear to me that he ain’t carrying a gun, owning any other guns or ammunition or magazines. And, if somehow the court allowed him to do that, then they’re grossly uninformed, corrupt and they’re probably about to open up a can of worms with lawsuits on convicted felons wanting their gun rights back. All for a piece of p*ssy, that ain’t even good looking.
