A federal judge in Maryland on Monday dismissed a challenge to President Trump's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
"This Court does not like the outcome of this case, but is constrained by its constitutionally limited role to the result that it has reached," Judge Roger Titus said in his opinion. "Hopefully, the Congress and the President will finally get their job done."

A Shrub “judge.” He doesn’t like it, huh ? Flooding the country with illegals just doesn’t bother him.

What a novelty these days - a judge that knows he is a member of the judicial branch of government.
Hopefully, the Congress and the President will finally get their job done.
He should have refrained from giving his own personal comments on the issue, but at least knows he’s a member of the judicial branch and cannot make executive or legislative policy decisions from the bench despite how he personally feels about the issue. This is far different than some of the rulings by other judges including orders that an Executive Order must be reinstated - that is an impeachable offense as far as I am concerned and grounds for disbarment from the practice of law.
Well what about the 600 other judges opinion on this matter and all others??
You speak as if the rule of law applies to liberals? Clearly it does not.
I could do without the court’s commentary on the issue - after all, if they wanted to issue commentary, there’s openings at the local paper. But what this does is start a chain for dissenting opinions and force SCOTUS to actually address the topic.
Also, I’m vaguely curious - for all of my life, when a federal judge issues an opinion, it is within that circuit, not nationally, until the 2000’s when apparently every federal judge can issue national rulings from the bench....
At least he applied the law, that’s more than we get out of leftist judges.
The President’s job is to enforce the laws.
Congress just needs to fund the enforcement.
Obama illegally created DACA, and Congress let him get away with it. Now its illegal for President Trump to end it and we are supposed to pretend that its all in the Constitution!
There is NO Justice in America anymore.
A reasonable judge, who doesn’t try to legislate from the bench.
An odd construct in judicial responsibilities as it is nowhere defined either directly or by inference in the constitution they have sworn oath to?
Glad to see this black robed cat understands (at least for now) that how he or she feels about a matter before the court is irrelevant.
What I do not see is the impact—we now have several conflicting decisions, judicial in-fighting. And Supreme Court refusing to step in. Should Trump pick his winner and tell the other courts to get lost?
What about all the other president in black robes who think they are God?
What’s their opinion, and how do we resolve them?
Wait. Wut? Did I read that right? A federal judge citing the (presumably) US Constitution as the basis for his ruling? What brought that on?
The president has refused to back a number of bipartisan proposals to extend the program. - The SHill
Yippeee. Let the roundup begin.
Judging by this statement, the judge is distinguishing his feeling from his obligation to rule by the law. I’d prefer that judges didn’t express feelings as part of their opinion, but he didn’t go rogue. I also like that he called on the Legislative and Executive branches to do their job.
