Loss of power is a good guess, for sure. The wind was horrendous there, and there was talk of trees down.

The 10 or 12” 33.3 RPM extended play EP was a creature of the 80s.
it gave superior sound quality for extended dance.

When the curtain went up (yes they had curtains then) Chester Thompsons percussion kit got snagged on the curtain, ascended like 10 foot and crashed to the stage! Hell of an opener!
