Plan to halt work permits for H-1B spouses delayed until June

A proposed change in rules that would halt work permits for spouses of H-1B visa holders will be delayed until at least June, the Department of Homeland Security said in a court filing Tuesday night.

Before the Obama administration created this work authorization in 2015, these foreigners could not work or get a Social Security number.


Which was totally illegal and the program should be ended immediately.

Cancel the whole damn program and stick some tariffs on offshored knowledge work. I’m tired of seeing all my friends lose their jobs in tech to low skilled visa holders.
