EXCLUSIVE A Republican senator is pressing for answers on why the FBI waited weeks to act after the 2016 discovery of thousands of emails on ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner's laptop that potentially were relevant to the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., fired off a letter Thursday to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asking about the timeline, citing texts between two key FBI investigators.
The messages, first reported by The Wall Street Journal in late January, indicate that top bureau officials were aware of the discovery of thousands of emails from Weiner well before the FBI sought a search warrant in late October, and effectively revived the Clinton probe right before the election.
"The cryptic and disjointed nature of the text messages, in addition to heavy redactions applied to other FBI documents, make it difficult to understand fully the sequence of events, Johnson wrote to Rosenstein, giving him a deadline of March 15 to provide information to the committee.
The text messages were between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who once served on Robert Mueller's Russia probe, and since have come under fire for their anti-Trump messages.

Because the FBI is compromised. That’s why.
Shut down the FBI. Fire all of them, and never allow them to ever serve in any law enforcement capacity ever again. From the director, down to the janitor.
An example needs to be made with regards to corruption and political intrigue.
Bottom line: enemy islamism. Huma Abedin: enemy islamist.
They wanted to sit on it past the election, but word was getting out and they needed to get ahead of it before it broke and they got busted in the act.
But that won’t be what they tell the honorable Senator in responding to his demands.

Congress knows the answers.
They seek evidence.
But the evidence is controlled by the same agencies who will look bad if it is revealed.
There’s no denying we have agencies that feel they are beyond oversight - that is part of what makes them the “deep state”.
“swamp” does not adequately describe DC.
I have started imagining all these DC types in turbans, beards, and robes. Even scimitars.
Let’s just say they’re not American, even if born here. I don’t care if they don’t speak with an accent, either.
This article smacks of criticism of the FBI. One shouldn’t criticize the State Security apparatus. It’s there for our protection.
Whatever the question, the answer is Russia
1: Because they were a very clear lead-back to HRCs’ email espionage act violations which the bureau had already determined were not to be prosecuted.
2: Because they were discovered by the NYPD as part of the Weiner investigation and then turned over to the FBI. Immediately, the opportunity thus arose to deflect the contents of the laptop under the story “the NYPD discovered these emails and while we honor and respect the fine officers of the NYPD, we, the FBI, must verify the emails using our own methods which will require the expenditure of time consisting of approximately 120 days after the statute of limitations shall have elapsed on the HRC investigation or any resulting indictments.”
The FBI found those emails, showed them to the FBI, and told the FBI “either you release these or we will”. The FBI took the laptop, thank you very much, and iced it.
Maybe they were grossed out by the phrase “Weiner laptop”.
Bttt.

money was paid to McCabes wife. Comey’s brother,
and everyone else.
Adrenochrome and pizza for all.
How many in Congress partook, too?
EXEMPT ever-lying Congress pretending STUPIDITY
for plausible deniability. Not gonna work.
Isn’t it pathetic that this letter has to be sent to Rosenstein and not the guy who’s supposed to be running the DOJ?

Hey, Senator? As usual, you’re looking at the asshole wondering where the food comes in...asshole. Why don’t you ask the IRS about the Lerner lawlessness while you’re at it. *SMH*
I want to know why nothing’s been done SINCE, as the presence of said email is a CRIME in of itself as well as putting the onus back on the ILLEGAl, non-secure, ‘hacked’ (the front door was unlocked and OPEN the whole time) server’s owner/IT/users.
Somebody FIRE that POS, Magoo, for God’s sake! And KEEP firing until they find one who’ll do the F* JOB.
You already know the answer, Senator.
To cover her more than ample a*s, and those of all the Corruptocrats who orbit around her.
It sure is.
What’s this they waited to act? They still haven’t done anything! No one have been indited or gone to jail except the perv.
